It was only the cylinder head that was codeveloped with Yamaha. properly maintained, there's no reason not to reach 500k kms easily. Before any rebuilds
From which model are you pertaining to? But yes, Lexus is just the luxury brand for North America of Toyota. I hope that I was of some help in answering your question.
Yes a turbo doesn’t require you to change much, first start with the throttle body mod, make sure the timing belt is serviced completely. Turbo the engine 7-10 psi on stock internals. You will see 220-300hp
Yes it's possible as @aksdan7783 had already pointed out. But as you said quality of fuels from where you live are not so good. I would like to kindly ask what octane of fuel is available to you from where you are so, I can advice you on what you need to do to atleast meet your requirements? As close as possible.
Hello and thank you for the question. Regarding your question, provided that it is serviced well it should last upto 250k kms before needing a rebuild.
@@JWorldAdventures250k km isn’t much on these, even if relatively neglected. Mine has close to 350k now. Only problem are seals but theyre relatively easy to repair. Your transmission is likely to go out before the engine 😂
I just purchased a Cressida, only for the engine. The starter is missing. I have this number: 28100-15040 Its a gear reduction type, that seems to match up with an 80's Corolla. Can anyone advise please? Corolla is 400 each cylinder, and 1G 333. So going by that, a Corolla starter, as long as it fits, should work.
It's should work as most starters from that time period are interchangeable with one another. I hope I was able to help you out. And if you can't find 28100-15040 I suggest getting 28100-15070 as that was the new part number for the application. And 28100-15040 has long been discontinued.
The 1G-GTE does not suffer from head gasket issues. But rather just keeping up with regular upkeep and maintenance should allow you to enjoy your 1G-GTE for many miles to come.
Hey my brother i will like to know more of the 1GGEU im putting it on a ke70,82 im rebuilding the hole engine but i need all the info u can give me thanks 🙏
Hello there friend!! I also saw your message on my Instagram page. Please do let me know what info you need, and I'll do my best to answer them. Have a good one👍👍👍
Thank you for the kind words. In terms of the beams 1GFE, there should be no problems turbocharging it but you should limit your power goal to around 300HP for durability and reliability sake.
@@mwapemuluwe4864 The stock internals are good enough to handle 300HP but for extra peace of mind, I highly suggest upgrading the connecting rods and pistons.
Ur best chances are to go to a wreckers and pull some transmissions to figure out which ones bolt on, swap some bits n pieces, forums would be a awesome help also

What quality of fuel does this 1G-FE engine require? Or, is it okay to use regular unleaded fuel?
It's completely alright to use regular unleaded fuel.
So the head on the 1g-fe was codesigned with yamaha or the whole engine....what is the lifespane of a well maintained 1g-fe?

Hi everyone is 1G Engine the very same with the ones on Lexus?

Anyone know if I can bolt on or how to install a r154 to 1g-fe
It won't bolt up unless you have an adaptor plate. The J160 and W58 are straight bolt on.
can I push the 1g-fe beams to 220 hp from its stock 160hp without changing majority of its parts?
Yes a turbo doesn’t require you to change much, first start with the throttle body mod, make sure the timing belt is serviced completely. Turbo the engine 7-10 psi on stock internals. You will see 220-300hp
Lowering the compression will allow you to run 10psi more reliably but the noted psi sweet spot is 7 psi on td05 turbo
