Greetings everyone, hope you are all doing well :) Wetlands is one of my favorite zones of all time and I thought I would try something different. This is sort of an experiment so I'm not sure if I should make any more but the concept is to revisit all the beloved classic zones, exploring all the interesting parts with no UI to interfere visually and provide some lore as well as personal commentary.
please do one for Stranglethorn vale or Un'Goro Crater
Dude this week for wow content has been awesome. Thank you for everything you have been doing for this game I loved and this community I am happy to see come back to life. Keep up the great videos and work.
This is so interesting and amazing at the same time! Please make these for the other zones as well.Arathi Highlands,Westfall,Alterac Mountains and Barrens are my personal favourites.
cool concept, I enjoyed it!
I love these SO much, so glad to find them.
Stumbled across your safari vids. Love the nostalgia I get from watching them. And appreciate your commentary on going back to simpler times, when us kids could spend countless hours living within our characters, living within azeroth. Like you said, we're all adults now with careers, families, lives...but the feeling of playing our favorite game from childhood...we never forget it.
I have no history of WOW,and very little gaming, but these safaris are absorbing, beautiful artistic creations, more please.
"Stopping to smell the roses" is called mindfulness. It's taught in therapy and is very good for your mental health if you exercise it a lot. Appreciating the zone around you is not only more immersive, it's relaxing
You can also find my lvl 13 body in the roads
Maquinetas lol was that your hallowed out carcass I stepped on trying to dodge lvl ?? Crocolisks?!
I enjoy the ambient style of this video. Really brings you back to the old days and the feeling of the zone.
I'd love to see more of these!
Love the videos! I gotta get a computer for when classic drops!
I just want to say that you have the most beautiful thumbnails I have ever seen. Makes mine look like a 5 year old did them.
Some of my favourite memories from early WoW are in the Wetlands. I remember my cousin and I wanted to quest together when we both just started playing, but he played a Night Elf and I played a Human. So we'd both try to get to each other which back then involved running through the Wetlands and getting the boat from Menethil. Every time we'd barely make it 1/4 of the way through before getting killed by the crocolisks, then we'd run back to our bodies and repeat the process until we finally made it :D
Im so glad you took the time to do this. Man it really puts me there fighting again for your sides interests and just kind of losing yourself in all of it. Appreciate you doing these types of vids.
Hey hope I really appreciate the kind words my friend so glad you enjoyed
Bro Kargoz this video was absolutely epic! I currently enjoy watching this type of content falling asleep or whenever I chill out from studying and cannot express how much I appreciate it. Yeah it’s the nerdiest thing ever which is also the coolest thing ever. Thank you bro to you and all content creators of classic. I hope it’s the first of many!
wow dude thanks so much for the kind feedback..i've noticed that you've commented on multiple videos recently and i just want to let you know that it means the world..people like you are the reason creators feel motivated enough to keep making things...best wishes my man
Kargoz thank you so much for the inspiring words and hard work brotha, have an excellent day dood cya next vid I can’t wait!
More like this please. Yes, you nailed it. No time to play; this does add value to my life. Thank you.
Could you do one on dark shore? Always felt that zone was underrated and I felt the zone just exuded character. You get level 10in teldrassil then fly over to this eerie place where everything is dark and plagued and that huge moon sitting on the sea, the ambience is incredible, made me feel so immersed back in the day, I would stand in auberdine when it was pouring with rain looking at the moon just in awe at that place.
really awesome videos !! great work man
This is awesome man. I had a series like this in mind since the Classic announcement but never got around to making it. I'm glad someone else felt that the Classic community is missing a comfy exploration/lore/feels video series. This plus your Classic radio make you one of my favorite youtubers currently.
thanks so much buddy i appreciate you consistently being there for me on both the stream and vids youre the man
Ahh, the Wetlands.
A place, where you get ganked in Menethil Harbour by Horde, right after landing with your griffin.
A place, where nightelves take the journey from Darnassus to Ironforge.
A place, full of murlocs, that just won't drop Lightforge Ingots.
A place, where Alliance players can enjoy the Undead Model in the sunken ships.
A place, where you can get one of your first good healing+ items.
A place, where People are looking around for that piece of dirt hidden behind a tree at the Raptor Excavation Place.
I hate Wetlands.
Dont forget that bag that drops off the oozes, or rather, supposedly drops off the oozes!
you forgot killing a 1000 black slimes for that stupid bag quest
The Sida's bag quest is actually good for forcing you to farm XP then you get rewarded. I like that "forcing" to farm XP
Well spoken
@@DefcampMelderonTV legit got my bag on the 3rd ooze, guess i was lucky
This was a good video, very relaxing and informative. I think you should do more videos like this on Vanilla zones in the future!
Honestly my favorite zone from Vanilla was the Barrens. I spent so long there that I had very good memories exploring it and it has a lot of lore significance for the Tauren since they were originally from there. I remember being a baby Tauren Druid and feeling in awe at the zone, feeling like I was on the Serengeti in Africa and like I had returned to my character's homeland.
Other than that my favorite zone was Winterspring, it had a very inspirational feel since it was one of the last zones and was where the high level players go to finish leveling and it was so pretty!
Oh man I swear sometimes I miss the good old days so much it almost literally hurts... So many wonderful memories I have with wetlands. I very enjoyed this video, I hope there will more of these :)
Love it. Thank you for reminding us to take a breath and be grateful and amazed at what's in front of us.
thanks so much for the kind feedback man..i appreciate u
i understand that everyone has their own perspective and opinions on everything, including Wow, but i feel like you capture the greatness and beauty behind World of Warcraft and what made it such a great game in its early days. Even down to the "in Bfa they try to make it seem like you're Moses about to part the red sea" in one of your other vids lol thats perfect. I dont want to be Moses...i want to be a random adventurer in a huge unknown world that NEEDS help from other adventures to accomplish whatever it is im doing. Or "just feel like a dude with a bow and a quiver"... its this immersive experience that retail WoW has been lacking to me for a long long time. Im a pvper and always have been and also love that part of the game (arenas etc.), but to me the meat and potatoes of WoW is literally this, the small but steady rewards and accomplishments you get that make you feel like grinding that last mob for 20 min to get that last bears heart was worth it, that even that 1 talent point when you level up was worth it. I never played vanilla, i started back in BC when i was in 7th grade and it captured my imagination and immersed me like nothing else before in my life. Appreciate the content man, cant wait for blizz to release this.
I really really loved these videos. I hope your able to make more one day. They really brought me back. Thank you so much for that slice of childhood wonder. See you in classic!
Excellent video, Kargoz!
I love this video idea. Wetlands is special to me because it was the first zone I leveled in that was “contested”. I remember being SO afraid that a Horde player was going to attack. I know, sounds silly but I was a noob and on an adventure. I’m sure you can relate.
This was great! Can't wait for more. I enjoy seeing the unique areas of a zone or something someone interprets a way I didn't.
wow thanks for such a kind comment man I appreciate ur feedback as always
I always loved wetlands as well. Looking forward to your other class leveling guides
thanks for the kind words my friend i plan on doing them for all the classes :)
Man. I recently stumbles across your videos and I love them. I recently really got fed up with current wow as I feel like it's just legion with another coat of paint. So I became nostalgic and am now really looking forward to classic servers as I only experienced them as a little kid and don't remember much. However I remember quite fondly farming those murlocs behind Minithil harbor because I couldn't figure out the quests and would farm them for hours instead. Really looking forward to be able to experience vanilla wow fully. I was thinking of rolling a rogue so I would love any kind of vanilla wow rogue vid! Keep up the good work!
Can you do Feralas? Great video dude!
Loved this, really great content. Please do every nook and cranny of Teldrassil while reading lore :D
This is amazing!! Great job, you have an really relaxing voice and I hope to see you do more of this :)
Wetlands was a zone I enjoyed in classic wow.. similar to getting the ship from booty bay to the X roads and waiting to ambush some horde noobs 😂
haha good time mate..thanks for the kind words :)
Anytime buddy, was a good vid :)
Wetlands was the first place i had to put in a trouble ticket with support, due to the fact that there was a bug when you walked in a puddle it would log you out, and not let you back in. Good times
Grim Batol before Cataclysm is like the ruins left after the second war since there was like a base for the horde, also I get that there used to train the slaved red dragonflight (the flying unit on WC2 that was the counterpart of the gryphons that the dwarfs used).
Finding the walking route over the IronForge mountains and dropping down into the wetlands successfully on my warlock, having to use the soul-stone twice the first time I did it. But then realizing that I was like 7 levels too low for the zone. But I got the flight point :-).
The mini-boss (we felt) at the culmination of the massive quest chain. Balgaras the Foul and his minions. Not realizing for a day or two that he actually spawned in one of two possible locations. Picture 10 people camped out waiting for him to res... and he never appears. And at other times, since people usually got to him before they reached his level, seeing him take out 10 lower-level people all at once and then reset to full health. It was epic.
The Ooze quest where you get a nice bag as a quest reward... except you sometimes had to go through 50 of them to get the required drop. Major complaints on the forums about that quest, but I loved the experience.
The Crimson Whelps were dangerous, they had such a huge engagement range and moved around.
Not finding a single Fen Lord for an hour, not realizing that they were partially stealthed and patrolled the rivulets of water in the wetlands.
The gnoll (I think) camps... those were hard, the packs were bigger than in Westfall.
The spider cave.
The quintessential crockalisk quest... but if you explored far enough into the wetlands (North west quadrant) you would find a little outpost behind a rock formation with a NPC that sold stuff to you. Most people didn't even realize it was there because they finished the crock quest before exploring that far.
So many incredible quests there. Not even counting the pirate/skeleton-crew chain and the cursed talisman that you eventually had to get purified in Stormwind (I think) :-)

I really wish you would continue this series. I really enjoyed all of the videos
Hey dude, I was at first like "what the hell this is so nerdy" but you're complerely right, it brings back a lot of memories lodged back in the recesses of my mind. Keep up the great work, stuff like this is always more meaningful to people than one might think. It's like a cultural memory. I didn't even remember that most of this was in my memory, if you get what I mean.
I must of been like 14-15 when the game came out here in Sweden, and I remember it so well. I was more of a counter strike gamer before it, but my buddy talked me into playing the game and I remember us two figuring the game out, taking for ever to even get to level 10. The game hit me right in that age where one sort of wants to leave childhood behind, girls and partying is starting to be more and more interesting, playing guitar in a band also pulled me more in that direction. But this game just opened up so many avenues of imagination, firmly gripping hold of that more childish sense of wonder (and I certainly don't mean that in a negative sense, a childish sense of wonder is amazing, I always try to rekindle it when I can). It also helped that this friend of mine was sort of an "out of town" friend, someone I would see a few times a year, but we always had so much fun. That enabled me to step out of the identity one was sort of forced to adopt at school, and man we had so much fun with this game, dreaming and letting our imagination just run away with us. Great times.
This is fantastic, just keep it up mate! Going to subscribe right away after seeing a couple of your videos. /bow
It was weird feeling old memories about something like this but thanks loved the video man
Beautiful video, I wait for the Hilsbrad foothills one, best place ever in Vanilla WoW.
my fav zones, Searing Gorge, Redridge mountains, STV, Duskwood, Teldrassil... wbu guys
Love this! Keep em coming. I guess you got a bunch of inspiration yourself but I would love an upload like this about Feralas, Winterspring, maybe Stranglethorn? Lotsa love from Amsterdam
Love the idea for this series, keep it up.
This guy knows^
Dude this was awesome. Please do more!!!!!!!!!! They could be longer too maybe between 20-30 min would be nice
I'd love to see old school desolace... Especially with a Maraudon tour.
Spent a lot of time ganking alliance at Menethil Harbour as an undead rogue :)
Thank you brother, you helped remind me of how great it was back then and what it meant! Truly appreciated... :-)
man i appreciate the kind feedback so much ..ppl like you are the reason i make videos
And you do a great job of it, my friend! This by far has been one of the most meaningful and well-spoken videos I have seen... I felt the need to show my appreciation for you making it and sharing with all of us who remember those early days! Cheers brother... :-)
Id like to see a video like this for all zones
I would love to see more of these!
Without Grim Batol I always felt like Wetlands was missing something. One of the many reasons I hope Blizzard will add new content to classic down the line.
Like a patch 1.13?
Man those vids are perfect, I wish you did one for every single Classis zone haha! I found others in the same vein but I like yours best
Thank you for this... :)
liked it man. Especially if you can dig up some little lore bits to go along with it
