I’m curious if the firework malfunctioned though. I know he’s dumber than a doornail and it’s a risky move, but theoretically aerial fireworks are not supposed to explode on the ground. They have a smaller explosion contained to a tube that launches it in the air, and that shouldn’t have been enough to end him.

As a society, we need to do a better job informing the public about how top hats are not an adequate protection from firework explosions. This should be mandatory learning for all fifth graders. Top hats should only be employed during magic tricks and on rare occasions at swinger parties. The fact that this is not widely understood in modern society is a sad testament to the state of our educational system.

Remember, drinking is only bad if you have a low mental capacity. Which is why there's so many drinking deaths in North America. I've never once seen an actual intelligent person get so drunk they do dumb things, and I've been at parties with people who would drink from 9pm and finish their last bottle at 6am. Only one person stayed normal while sloshed, that's an average of 1/1000 people in my case

My family has never participated in fireworks because they were always afraid of accidents like this. Ive been with the drunk, reckless families that buy a paycheck's worth of fireworks and seen the other side of the action, too. Personally, I think it is foolish that so many people handle fireworks carelessly or use them for toys and pranks. They are explosives, after all. You shouldnt horse around with things that you cannot fully control. I am especially aghast to see how many kids go off and play with fireworks or have access to them because the adults cant be responsible enough to secure them or supervise their children.

Man puts explosive on head and wonders where his head went.
My family has never participated in fireworks because they were always afraid of accidents like this. Ive been with the drunk, reckless families that buy a paycheck's worth of fireworks and seen the other side of the action, too.
Personally, I think it is foolish that so many people handle fireworks carelessly or use them for toys and pranks. They are explosives, after all. You shouldnt horse around with things that you cannot fully control. I am especially aghast to see how many kids go off and play with fireworks or have access to them because the adults cant be responsible enough to secure them or supervise their children.
He succeeded in showing off because his fellow party goers will never forget it.

Maybe he was taking some type of medication and drank too much. Wouldn’t surprise me these days they hand out prescriptions to almost anyone and most people drink. Drinking causes more deaths than all other drugs combined. Either legalize everything or make alcohol illegal

@@paulnejtek6588 it literally did. When they say "nothing could be done" that usually means massive head trauma aka head missing. I saw a dude with his head caved in and I got asked if I tried to perform cpr/life saving methods and I just said there was nothing to perform it on. People's heads aren't as impervious to explosions as you might think

I just feel bad for all the potential children, family members and neighbors who were traumatized by this man's thoughtless actions. Glad he didn't hurt anyone else.

Fireworks are NOT toys. About 10 years ago, a college student pulled a similar stunt resulting in his death 😢
