Thank you for this video. It’s great that you were proactive. I’m a breast cancer survivor (25 years since dx). I hope you have as easy as possible a treatment protocol and good health from now on. And I wish you great success in your much-needed profession.

I am glad you are getting treatment for this. I had a hard lump in one breast since Jan. Last 6 months. Had mammograms, ultra sound and eventually breast biopsy. In May I had pet scan and bone marrow biopsy. It turns out it's my original cancer of lymphoma. It's still cancer, but not breast cancer. The lump hurt for months. A few weeks ago I had a cortisone shot in my leg for bursitis. It helped my leg a little .. but surprise , my lump is almost gone as a side effect. I panicked as you did and I'm much older. Praying for your full recovery 🙏

I have no cancer but I'm scared but I know God made every fiber of my being . Trust everyday on my Lord 🙏. Stand strong you are a fighter your strength to help others show. Amen.

WTH, someone answering the phone with zero medical training is over riding a physician order?! How is that allowed!!!! I am glad she got testing done and they found it, despite the arrogant person on the phone!

It doesn't surprise me at all. Look at how they performed during the pandemic....since then I question everything healthcare professionals do. A good doctor will appreciate your interest and thoughtfulness.

It happens! I just got my first mammogram and the YOUNG lady at the front desk asked me a question and because the way I answered her, she was ready to deny my exam, push it to a further date until they spoke to the doctor to change things. I got aggressive and said I’m just the patient, the doctor already submitted the order, just do what is there! It took everything inside not undermine her, but I am a medical professional and I can’t imagine having my front desk determine changes in patients care based off a conversation they had at the front desk.

Something I'm amazed at from Drs, is that they tell so many that, you're too young to have this form of cancer for testing. I'm sitting here listening and saying, " cancer doesn't care about age!" Cancer doesn't choose only certain age groups! Cancer will attack you at ant age!
A nurse at our cancer clinic told my friend that by 2040, 1 out of school

I get so frustrated with stories where young women were told "It can't be breast cancer, you are too young". OK, so only 2% of breast cancer cases occur in women under 30 - but that means 5,280 young women will get breast cancer and get it diagnosed late in the USA alone

  • @drintx5734

Honestly it's insane to me how much in US healthcare the patient needs to arrange their own testing. Obviously if you have a lump that cannot be confirmed to be benign upon palpitation you should get a mammogram. It's not an invasive procedure, it should be performed liberally. And that's before we get into the whole discussion about costs and insurance coverage, which is a whole other can of worms.

    • @strongaftercancer

it’s vasoconstriction blood vessels that transport blood to the hair follicles using a cold cap to reduce the amount of chemo that enters the hair follicle.

Scalp cooling is used in the hospital to put on your head during chemotherapy to protect the hair follicles to help stop you losing your hair.
