Awesome if rocking bothers you. I like a little rocking to sleep better because my bones ache (sleeping beam to beam when rocking hard vs bow to stern when rocking gently :-) This is great for any powerboat as they seem to rock very hard, pounding a lot. The large keel on a sailboat softens the rock a lot.
they soak up a lot of power, if you have a big battery bank you'd be okay for a bit, but majority of time if you run on anchor you'll need your gennie on. They are amazing though...just about unbelievable really....
@@colinashby3775 every 1000 hours or annual it has to be inspected and a few parts replaced like in any engine. they have several year warranties and even offer trade ins to better models when they come out. www.seakeeper.com/faqs/caring-for-your-seakeeper/

Very clever, pity large cruise ships don't have something like this. I guess they have stabilisers instead
What, if any, is the maintenance on these things?

Lol 3-4s
If being on a boat bothers you that much, why have a boat?
Careful -- you might get wet, too.
Idk I ask the same question. We have the same thing on destroyers but they don't work. That well haha
Stupid comment. No one likes getting thrown around on a boat, its much more pleasant to be out on a calm day.
Because getting sea sick is not optional for some people...but they like to fish.
