Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling!

It makes me wonder if it's just because I've never had the knowledge, or if there's another reason. I've never so much as shoplifted a candy bar. I wonder if it's just the fear of getting caught, or something else in my psyche. My father was a very honest man, and I think that rubbed off on me. I don't understand these folks. You're wondering why you're normal? 😂 Most people don't commit crimes, if they do it's out of desperation or mental health issues (typically) so yeah, if you had a safe, secure and comfortable upbringing with values then it's unlikely you'd commit a crime. Some still do, especially if they have advanced technical skills, in part for money, status and also to see if they can.
I would guess no father, so he mainly raised himself and his online friends raised him a little also. Told this hacking is cool, he feels powerful, and thinks nothing else of it because he's a teenager. Then once he's getting more social status and money it's very hard to turn down.

Often it stems from a condemnation of authority figures. Like you have a dumb teacher at school and you know you're smarter than them. You're smarter than most people. So that leads you to do things that are "outside the box" like becoming a hacker.
What's crazy is that the kid went Scott free and that guy that kept the money got karma for scamming him. Also if it was true he found 50 million btc it's possible the guy could be into something shady if he lied about it but who knows the guy who got hacked
One doesn’t need to be smart to social engineer. Having an insider is all that matters and bribing them with minimum wage. It’s unethical and this is a stupid documentary.
