Hey Joburg native here, your intro is something I hear a lot about Capetonians. They aren't big on greeting passerbys. JHB is a mix of both, some folk are friendly and others not so much. DBN is much warmer in that regard, almost everyone will have a greeting for you more so if you're in a shared space like a lift. PTA is also pretty friendly, you can strike up conversation with just about anyone as long as they're within hearing distance. Enjoying your content 🌸

You gonna learn to live these white south Africans alone for you turn up missing. Lol. I also noticed the people there don't speak as much when in public like here in the US. Hell, you get that here as well. 😆. Once they find out you are from overseas, they are usually open. To them , you are an average black man.
I wasn’t actually talking about the white people there were mostly black people in the elevator I’m already used to white people acting like we don’t exist I live in New York.
Black Americans and south Africans understand silent racism and obviously they're not foreign to this hate of whites
