Thank you. Please do share them!
I'm not Catholic but I'm really loving this. Thank you for sharing this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t know why you don’t have more followers. Brilliant.
At Mass we receive infinitely more than we could even ask for, or imagine.
How Great Thou art, O Lord.
Amen
Getting to Mass on time! I once had the terrible inconvenience of, being unable to commit myself to time, to a schedule, to the clock. There was always something which succeeded in distracting my attention. Then finally God took me out of that life (security) to where He could train me to commit to the clock. I am so grateful to God for all this training and His providence. God bless you Father Columba.
I too was ALWAYS late. making the whole family late for Mass, being late to classes - Even when i was asleep, my Dad would move my alarm clock to the other end of my bedroom so I would Have to get up to hit the snooze - and later on in life, being late to work.
Then someone - I wish I could remember who - said to me:
"When we are late, we are telling people that their time isn't as valuable as our time is."
Oooh, ouch!
Ever since then, I made up my mind to respect other people's time (talent, treasure etc.), and now I am early, and take the extra minutes -if the ones I am meeting are not particularly fond of my early-ness (?), to ask Mother and the Saints to help me be the person I should be today, and do what is pleasing to both my clients, and to The Almighty. ❤
Just have to say that your joy is contagious. You always have a twinkle in your eyes. Thank you Father 🙏
Thank you!

So so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Fr truly look forward to your videos. As I am straggling. I pray alot every morning, throughout the day, & every evening & night. I just cant seem to connect with God. I attend church every Sunday pray rosary on my way & try to be present, I just feel (& I hate that term) empty. My prayers are just words it seems. I have no idea how to surrender hoe to praise it is all just words anymore.
Thank you! I have been avoiding confession for a long time.
That was awesome, decided Im not gonna skip MAss tomorrow
That's great Anna Marie, we're delighted Fr Columba could help! Bless you :)
I became a Catholic at age 67 during the 2023 Easter Vigil. I discovered your videos as I went through RCIA. I Love you for your teachings that are so helpful to my growth as a new Catholic. I also enjoy the humor that you inject into these videos.
My Path to Faith:
The Chosen season 1 episode 4
Bishop Robert Barron lectures and homilies made me curious about the Catholic faith
Father Columba Jordan (hey that’s you!) videos
By the way, did your Franciscan order create that absolutely beautiful DIVINE MERCY video that takes viewers from NYC to places around the world? I watch and pray along with that video at least once per day!

One thing I do to stay engaged during the Eucharistic prayer is to focus on the verbs, e.g. give, save, remember, may be gathered. They are like the high notes to help me stay in tune and involved in the song.
Amazing explanation of the Mass and Confession... I'm loving this series so much!! God bless you Fr Columba! Praying for you and all priests!
Thank you!
I used to wonder who the early Christians were and i found out years ago by going to Mass. Their the ones who receive the Eucharist and walk straight down the aisle and out the door! No kneeling down and thanking Jesus who they just recieved!
This is episode 2 of a five-part series. Here is episode 1: ua-cam.com/video/Cby5BCMCM3E/v-deo.html
The" lister" in confession
I have to go to confession more often!

Thank you so much, we really appreciate your support!
Wait it’s a series?! Oh yay, thank you! 🌺❤
Hope you like it!
Really enjoyed this vid. I go to Mass 3 times a week and confession on first Sat...I love the info about the 4 ends to the Mass. I guess I know that inside but your explanation is so nice and offers me another way to consider Mass. Thank you. I LOVE going to Mass, but this has become stronger as my desire to be closer to God has grown. Everyone keep going, even when it's dry and boring just push through it...God is still there and going will help you want to go more! Gods so cool!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Sounds like you have a great thing going!
Thank you Father 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
You’re welcome.
Thanks for everything. Love this channel!
Thank you for your support!
Thank you Father!
You’re welcome.
This is a tough episode for me, 1 I have the I get distracted easily problem. I tried everything no caffeine, don't bring a cellphone, get there early. Truth is I am a mess and need lots of work.
Pray! Ask God to help you, and he will! Think of how much he wants you to be the best Christian you can be, and let him take you there. 😊
Just think this each Sunday, lord I am nothing you are everything fiat I the sinner love you with all
Don't worry you are not alone. I can relate but when you feel bad or messed up call on the precious blood of Jesus to help you. Say Jesus I trust in you and let it go. Also you can run to mama Mary who can intercede for yo to her son.
Wonderful!! Thank you. ❤️
You are so welcome!
What is this music? it is absolutely beautiful like your message!
Aaaaaand, I'm just gonna say it....(deep breath) is it wrong that I go to a whole other parish in the next town for confession? (Lol) Seriously though, I like the old school confessionals where you're not face to face with Priest. I'm a twin...so I don't want ANY confusion. I can just imagine what they'd possibly be thinking.... she's back AGAIN??? 😮
I am mo priest but the brothers and sisters I know in religious orders , don't have confessors within their community.
I think no matter who your confessor is keep the same confessor .
And bring this topic up with your confessor to make sure your motives are right .
And general confesión, since I confess each week or two weeks because of the exorcism that includes I run out of mortal sins so the priest asked me once about my past and I found hundred of sins in my past when I was younger and modern. So that is a general confession that some people think that they have to ask for an appointment or being hours in the confessional, but not, we can do a general confession brief just don’t get into the detail but as Father Nix says “ hundreds “ or “ thousands “
I sin in this particular sin. Also Father Ripperger the famous exorcist says that when we confess we must say “ I accuse myself of” because the fallen are looking at you because they are the new who will accuse you before God and when you say “ I accuse myself “ you take that power from them. You acknowledge your sin and owned it.
Father, when you pray in the morning is it just casual chat with god or should it be the rosary or something else?
Thank you so much Fr. Columba! One question- how much atonement is needed for a sin that has been confessed? More specifically, how does one know one has atoned sufficiently? I had read once that purgatory time takes in to account sins that have not been atoned for sufficiently enough, hence the question. Thanks again!
Thank you, I am not familiar with right and wrong. I wasnt raised that way. I am a mess and life is harder than it needs to be. If i know a purpose of a person, place or thing. Then i know right from wrong. Learning sin and knowing sin are two different things. I am do it. My family is mostly pagan and Saint Patrick is calling me out. I have been Roman Catholic for over a decade. It hurts to be persecuted but i am thankful i am still Roman Catholic i pray for it every day and it costs me family friends everything. I hate being a coward. I like being brave and standing up for truth. Its so disheartening and bitter to see a perfectly good child of God be pagan or something else. It hurts. I just pray. Thanks for leading me to go to church and confession. Always. Thank you and God Bless. Michigan, America.
We have a priest who reads all his sermons. I get no sense of buy in. Can’t connect. Several of his “homilies” sound like they came from a theology textbook. One lasted 24 minutes. Noticing body language is a must for priests. I thank you for your channel. And I pray for you.
Thank you.
My biggest problem at Mass is that I'm terrified right as I am receiving the Eucharist. I have always been terrified that I'm going to drop the Host. I have MS and now that my hands don't work so well, I now receive on the tongue (but what if I cough or sneeze??). Will I drop the cup? Or bow too late and bump it with my forehead? I am a convert, and the Eucharist is amazing and such a blessing, but I've always had this nervousness. Is this normal? Once I have received my whole being is one big "Thank you" with a tiny "Thank you for not letting me mess that up."
If you don't receive in your hands you can't drop the host. Receive on your tongue and if it falls it's the priest's problem not yours.
I'm really tired of these Mass and Confession videos and no one has answered my question. The only thing people do is accuse everyone of mortal sin. I haven't been able to go to Mass or Confession for thirteen years. I have no way to get there. And the Rad Trads are driving me nuts. They really are the worst, full of anger and bitterness. They accuse everyone buy themselves for all the bitter and angry words they put on UA-cam.
Does anyone ever stop to think about all who would love to go to Mass and can't or offer a ride? Nope!
I checked with our priest and he said we don't so that. You have to know someone. We were taught nothing in the Catechism or about the Church in our conversion class. Later i wanted to sit in on a class and I was refused.
You say no one has answered your question. What is your question?
