This is the absolute fucking best remake of my true #1 favorite Doom song. The other is The Imp's song, and YOU DID IT BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE, and i have heard lots. Plus, out of the many versions of this song I have heard, yours is the best by a long shot. this is the other half of my comment on the E1M2 video.
Those fuckin' barons along with cyberdemon are the scarriest enemies in original DooM. Barons' shouting and cyberdemon's powerful missle incoming straight to face will shit yout pants.

Good question! If I remember correctly, I did try to closely follow the original MIDI, and only added in the new lead guitar and drum parts toward the end (which is where things feel faster than the original). I can't speak for the other musicians, but I did this faster-feeling bit to have a bit of fun and to spice things up for my rendition of this tune. ~DAR

This conveys very well that sense of despair and fear that our Doom Guy is feeling through this impossible to win battle.
