  • Here's a quick video of my home mechanic fix of an oil leak I had on my 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5 PZEV
The culprit was the oil pressure switch NOT the head gasket as I feared!

    Thanks buddy.
I am from Vancouver itself! Have the same model forester.
Did an engine overhaul last week. Got P0028 yesterday and I had to pay $250 to replace this switch!

It's not too hard to replace, but I have experience changing alternator and belts before.. if you notice issues in the future try to fix yourself!

I have a 2008 outback. It seems like there are two oil pressure switches, one on the right and one on the left. Is this correct and are they both the same?

I'm honestly not sure on that. Is it the same engine? The 2.5 non turbo?
