Thank you very much mam......clearly I understood your teaching in raglan sleeve .......superb.....I am from India. I bignner for fashion designing. ..again I thank to you....
Diane can you use this method on woven fabrics I prefer this method without the seam …. Could you do a tutorial on this perhaps on how to adapt for woven fabric thank you so much Jayne x
Thank you so much! I've been looking for this information everywhere! I kind of winged it the first time I drafted a raglan and the sleeves came out a little weird, I'm excited to try again with this guide!
Hi Diane. I love your channel. I sent an email about a bodice block question and would love your advice. Every time I make my pattern I have extra fabric that is loose next to the bottom of the armcye (near bust). My bust is larger but I am very petite. Do you have an idea of what measurements should be adjusted to correct this?
Hello Patrick, It doesn't fit too good in woven fabric because of the excess at the underarm an it might be missing a little at the shoulder. In knit there is no problem cause it's not a heavy fabric and it stretch a bit. You could use this technique in woven if you have a wide armhole and a very flat head sleeve. Diane
Thank you for the video, it helps! But there’s some questions I can’t figure it out as...What if my 2 armholes have different length, how do I decide the sleeve head ?And how the sleeve head influence the curve? It can’t be always like all 0.5cm right? It’s really frustrated that I have been trying many times that the final armhole length is not matching the original lines...Also, should I deduct some length when drawing the triangle? Thanks again for the help in advance!! Love the channel!
Hello Pei 1. It's normal that front and back armhole have different measurement, back usually a little longer 5mm 2. There is a maximum sleeve head that comes from the bodice construction, armhole height minus +/- 3.5 cm. and the minimum would be zero for a flat head sleeve. You could also use all the measurement between the min. and the max. 3. The higher is the sleeve head the deeper will be the curve One common mistake is to put the half armhole measurement on the bicep line instead of in diagonal from the sleeve head point. I hope this could help Diane

Amazing!! Thank you!x
Would you explain why this particular pattern (no shoulder seam) is better used on knits? Thank you.
