    Thank You Thank you Thank you so much Diane. This princess line style of making bodices and tops is awesome. I made a gown bodice by following this method it turns out wonderful. Princess line bodice is an easy and simple way among all patterns. No more darts sewing, just simply connecting of two parts of bodice. I love this method. From now onwards I will always use this method for making bodices because fitting becomes also good by this method. 😍😍👌👌👌🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

      mimis bel She fast about it on this video but at about 2:45 into it she adds the seam allowance. I don’t know what you use but you just measure all the way around and add to it. Some use 1 centimeter and some 5/8”

    I wish you can make a video to a start up person like me, what should I have to prepare and what blocks should I have prepared to shorten the time of working. Every time I make a piece I start from scratch because I have no prepared blocks and many essential tools. I need some arrangements. Please help me 🙂

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 років тому +1

      Hello Abdurrahman Haidary,
      This video is part of a few i'm planing for beginner,
      I dont know what kind of garment you like to do, but for sure having good block to start with could save you a lot of time.
      For example, if you do mens t-shirt, that is pretty easy garment to do, from a block with seam allowances included, you could do all kind of style, long sleeve short sleeve, v-neck, crew neck, polo placket, hoodies... Most of them will share the same back and sleeve.
      -For woman, I already show my blocks, you could get my PDF version in my ETSY boutique or make them yourself following my videos (the construction is not an easy task).
      I also did the coat block, the shirt block, the elongated bodice, dart less bodice...
      And for the knit, the t-shirt block and the legging
      I also did a men shirt and a men pants.
      And recently did kids blocks.
      About the tools, I also did a video to present them, pointing the must have.
      Take a look at My channel : ua-cam.com/users/Montagnes2
      My next video is going to be basic neck modifications.
      Diane

    Hi Diane. If I want to do a princess line at the armhole dart, will the total armscye increases or still the same? By the way, thank you for explaining the side part of a princess line emphasises the shape of the body. Now i understand more. As always, you are an excellent teacher. I wish I could be your student! 😁

      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 років тому

      Hello Rina,
      thanks for your comment, it's appreciated.
      Doing a princess line to the armhole doesn't change the armhole measurement at all, it's only style.

    Hi Diane, once again a great video, I've learned so much from you. I have a question, if I am using the military line basic bodice to pattern a jacket, do I add ease on the princess line seam as well as grading the side? Love your teaching x

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 років тому +1

      Hello Jan
      Yes to do jacket, I usually grade up one size, so the princess line should be moving but just a little 3mm or 1/8 inch.

    How do I get a set of your grading rulers in America? I know this may sound crazy to others but I have hear horror stories of cost for shipping something here.

    • @DianeDezieltoolfully
      @DianeDezieltoolfully  5 років тому +1

      Hello Paula,
      I'm in Quebec, Canada, so if you are in USA the shipping cost is pretty much the same that if I ship to an other province here. The box is 46 cm X 31 cm X 9 cm and the weight is 1.335kg
      In Etsy, you could find out the exact shiping cost, before finalize your order. I always put the value of the grading rulers with the awl to 11$ CA, and no signature needed, so there is no extra taxes fees when deliver.
