I thought Frank was running a skid steer for Mrs. Elite's Canadian division since his safety incident with Anderson's Eastern division. 😁

The footer float was a good idea. The older you get, the smarter you get. I am 71 so I am pretty darn smart. You learn many tricks as you get older. Remembering them, is the problem.
You are right about Frank digging some good looking foundations. Master of the backhoe.
Looking good!! Sometimes it’s the simple handmade tools that makes the job easier
I love it when the dirt steams in the morning
I still like the name "Beast". Wow I didn't realize how big of a place that it is going to be! I like how you lined up all your equipment at the end of the day too.
You have to keep trying new things! Every once in a while you will find one that works well. Nice job!
Wow lots of changes in forty years mostly the trucks. Thanks for the educational entertainment.
Central California Watching
Frank is a backhoe magician!
Yes
Your videos are awesome . My husband has dementia and I play your videos to keep him busy. He operated a ec420 Volvo excavator for 20 years doing earth moving construction jobs . So its nice to see videos out there of stuff like he use to do . You and Chris with letsdig18 and many others . I would like to thank you for the videos and content that you do.
Thanks for the comment glade to be a small help 😁
That is one huge home!!
(closeup of exhaust port coughing smoke and roaring to life) - love how you get little fill shots like that, adds a great feel. All your 'stick a camera out there' shots are great fun! The underside running gear shots of the new/old truck were HAWESOME.
Thanks
Talk about significant improvements in a machine .... the front dumping concrete truck. Love the ragtime piano.
Here’s hoping you and your family have a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. Thank you for bringing us on your journey.
Thanks
I made a contraption years ago to handle the tires on a Cat 777 rock truck, it worked good. My buddy called it the “whirl-Lee-gig, I still have it. Haven’t used it in years now.
Footers turned out great
It really looks nice to have the machines all lined up at the end of the day. That is going to be a big house.
keystone cops background music always appropriate for any construction site I was on , happy new year and God Bless yawl
Made a great job of the footings
Thanks
Thanks for the shout out! Happy new year’s
Looks great!!!! Great invention no matter what Captain says!
Yes Frank his a very good operator .
Great video thanks for sharing have a great day and stay safe out there
Another great job again guy's!....👍👍🦘🦘👌
Good to hear you back on the pie-annor! Truck name The Hulk
Good information about rebar on footers
Looks like you guys have fun at work
The Green Monster !
The tamper worked well the best one is aluminium tube welded exactly the way you had the wooden one built 👍
When I was on a crew building chicken barns here in SW MO we used similar footing floats but we made them out of 1x2 lumber and only 4-5ft length. Worked great and wasn’t too heavy.
👍
Love the videos. Just a nice manner you go about doing things.
Pure awesome!
Great job. Seeing the new truck is formerly navy. Master chief would make a good name.⚓⭐⭐⭐
As always love the channel!😎
Wind will generate some lateral forces, though. Anyway, the homemade tool was pretty nice, thanks for the idea.
i love franks chanal i ben watching him for years i wish i am as good as he is with my backhoe
He is the man
HELLO from las Vegas Nevada, thank you for the video, happy new year and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Thanks
Thank you
Awesome work
Happy new year 🎉
Happy New Years guys . See ya next year
Footers looks good happy new year
You definitely need the 6x6 on days like today. You folks have some of the best most scenic locations for building a house. That is some beautiful country especially around the river. Think you got a little loosey goosey going on with your bucket. Time for some pins and bushings? Why did you not position the rebar in the trenches and suspend it before the pour? Got a good truck driver. I think maybe he has done it before. That is going to be a beautiful homeplace. Want to see the finished house!
Yup
Good job.
Awesome Job!!
Hey Mike, regarding the long start on the 304.. I've got a '15 CAT 259D and had a long start just like yours, especially when it was colder. I'm not big on additives and all that but I ran some Diesel Kleen through it and it was like magic. Strangest thing but fires right off now. Battery might be on its way out too but it's worth a shot.
👍
The Perfect name for the new truck is Mr. Perfect.
pretty good sized house
YAY Captain Kleeman, I just watched his Yacht footers poor, I thought he might be here and sure enough he is and doing more footers lol.
Great video Dirt (annoyingly always right) Perfect. Oh the new trucks name “Zeus”
I was surprised at how well the concrete trucks were able to move around on the soft ground . All-Wheel drive surely was Impressive and the added weight has to help a lot . ' Old Sarge ' should do well also .
Was watching Frank attacking his blade supports only last night. A Better New Year to you All. Cheers
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE ENTIRE DP CREW!
Awsome job Mike. I think ( whatchamacallit ) is a good name for your footer float. It really did a nice job of it !!!! You and the Cpt are great comic relief for your vids. Love watching you guys !!! Great vid Sir.
I was wondering why you were messing with skid steer when dozer was there. Good video.
Heater 😁
the contraption looked like worked out pretty good. Made something similar for compacting 4 inch wide ditch witch trenches. 2 2x2s stacked on top each other, some black pipe fittings and black pipe, pool noodles to dampen the impact viberations. was helluva faster then packing trench with sledge hammer head or a asphalt rake
Footings came out great. That’s going to be a big house. Nice setting to.
Happy New Year to you and your family and all the crew.
Bruce from Mason Michigan
Digging from top to bottom, leaves such a clean top side wall. Great job, MBTS would approve. 😂
Thanks
Once again, great team wk makes it a lot easier, the tampering tool you made,we used all the time ,it saves you bending down n saves you from getting a back ake lol
Looks good Mike. Your home made contraption worked pretty good even though you had a hard time getting Kleeman to admit it HAHA. Take care and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
Looks like time for pins and bushings! Weble wable.
Must be new to the channel check out so of old videos will find my opinion about that comment there thanks for watching Kyle much appreciate have a good new year
@@DirtPerfect yes watched for some time know if I got the money to give you to replace all you'll be glad to do so !!! Know you have spent a lot to repair the 120 ETC do not take such offence! You do what ya can as you can, and know you like all to work and be as it was from FACTORY! Hey I have operated equipment so wore out after stopping the machined shook for five min. While everything caught up! To stopping! Or if digging a 3' wide trench and end up 3.5 to 4 ' wide, with out trying too. Because of side shift in bucket!
Looks good! Happy New Year and goodbye to 2020 💪
So all are trying to name the new truck oookkk How about ( TRUCK PERFECT ) 2
Looking nice I liked the hand shovel to hold the soup in Happy New year To you all
Happy New Year all at DP and may 2021 be better than 2020
Okey Dokey we have finished all of your videos dated 2020. 🎉yes still watching on fire tv and comments on phone.
Awesome appreciate all the comments
I have to agree with Captain's first comment about the "Footer Tamper" It needs a cup holder.. LOL.. Now-a-days everything needs a cup holder.. Happy New years to everyone.. This 2020 as of midnight 12/31/2020 at 11:59 pm.. We all need to swear an oath that 2020 will never be spoken of again...
J.C. Smith built a really nice rear hitch plate for his truck , universal for several different trailers that he will be pulling .
That is one neat tidy and perfectly maintained site with work done to the top of the shelf! Happy New Year and all best to you and yours!
Thanks
Happy New Year to you, your family and all the folks involved with your channel.
I was quite surprised how shallow that footer appeared to be but I presume that it is planned to be only a single storey high when finished.
Also, you can't beat the help and service at Batteries + Bulbs. I'm not affiliated with them but have had great service! Get your watch battery serviced at the same time!
Happy new year.
Thanks
Great stuff Mike!
Happy New Year to your cast and crew, and to your families! Have a good 'un! :-)
Thanks
Happy new yr buddy
I think ICF has a factory here in Massachusetts
How about Dirt Master!
Nice job guys
Happy New Year! :-)
Looks great thumbs UP. :)
Oddly satisfying watching grown men play in the dirt and mud with heavy machinery while l drink my morning coffee!
Sure is! They get to do things I don't get to.
I really like Earthquake
Those footers look shallow to what we have been required to pour for our extentions here in the 🇬🇧. Maybe it is just the camera lense or angle? We have had to pour 1mtr deep minimum footers then the inspector ok's the ground conditions or tells you to keep digging. Some of the deepest footers we dug was for a single storey extension but the ground conditions were poor. In my area planning basically says footers need to be deep enough to put a 2 storey building on even if you aren't building one that way if someone wants to build up later on the foundations are done. Bummer for the person paying the bill but if everyone does it it is fair. It is really strange though when you dig the footers for the extension at 1mtr then find out your house sits on a 12" slab floating on top of the ground. House never moved in 90yrs so the old boys knew what they were doing.
Skid steer for grading light finish stone levels dozer for grading everything else 👍
NICE JOB D.P. HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR. G.B.Y.G.
Thanks
Good job. A permanent footer float could have four hinges and collapse down to a single "carry/storage pole".
👍
You should check out Cezer welds tools . At least I think that's how you spell it . Lol they make what we call a whiskey stick . Basically it's a 4ft piece of aluminum on a long wooden handle and it works awesome 4 floating off your footings . Jitterbug it strike it and float off with the same tool . I've been pouring footings for 20 plus years and picked up a couple of them a few years ago. My only regret is I didn't buy one sooner. I think they're about 50 bucks.
I was wrong its Czar welds
I have the 4' screed and we put are grade pins ever 6 ' works really great .
Great year in videos DP. I hope to see the same kind of content in the future. (even if you have grown into a super channel now) Happy New Year Mike and family.
Thanks joe
Have a blessed and safe new year. Wishing you and your crew greater success in 2021. Please do a few blooper videos.
Thanks
Do you think if you had a tilt attachment on the bucket of the skidsteer it would make you like it more for grading? I always do rough grading with the skidsteer and finish it with the tractor and blade because the tractor is what I'm most comfortable grading with, but the skidsteer moves the material faster. I sometimes wish I had a tilt bucket so I could cut grades better with it.
Wow the footers down there are much different then up north ours have to be 36” deep
I like yours way better then here and our rebar has to have chairs and be tied
Kleenman must have liked it, no matter what he says, considering he made one for his Yacht footer pour
Yup
that truck needs to be named 'Baby' with pink and blue camo just to point out how delicate it is.
Happy new year
Thanks
6x6 Pig or pig x 6 just a thought at 1:30 am on New Years morning!
Surely the truck should be Big Mike? 😉
The new truck should be “old sarge” this will show respect for her military service.
I think that's a good name but the way things are these days someone will be offended by "old". They will say it's agesim. (sarcasm)
I like that name. God bless
@@ConstructionMachineryChannel for sure. All well they can suck it up Sally. Lol God bless
I would do a military callsign for the name...like Hitman 1.
@@thomasdesmond2248 Agree. Take care and have a good 2021.
You are 100% correct about Frank's footings, looks like he uses a cookie cutter! Happy New year to all!
Ask the Captain why the volume on your channel when he was speeking sooooo much better, I can not watch his channel anymore. Improvements need to be made C a p t. Happy New Year to all !!!
Thanks
Great camera shots. I got dizzy!
👍
Another Great video 😊. What’s the name of Frank’s channel? Digging those......?
ua-cam.com/users/Digginok
Wider is better on footings. It helps distribute the load over a greater area. Just like tracks on your equipment, the wider the track the less ground pressure that is applied per square foot. More rebar the more ductile the concrete becomes and the less your chances of having a cracked footing. Good video!
That many direction changes must add up to a huge increase in build costs. If all that wall length were converted to a square or rectangle, I would assume they would get about 30 - 40% more square footage?
I dont know what you will end up naming the truck but that house will be known as Sasquatch. She has a big foot(er). That was probably the correct move considering the possible instability of the soil. Stay safe boys.
I figure that house must be on Elm Street. The basement and footers sure look like a Nightmare to me.
Here we are in a seismically active area so the footer to wall does require pins by code.
I doubt the lack of a drainage setup for the footers in this vid would let them pass here, we(s)t coast is technically a temperate rain forest, drainage is critically important.
A dirt engineer would be a Geologist. Lol God bless
Truck Name = Hulk , it's green, powerful and huge
