Hey Rich, how do you transport this one? Do you take the wings off then assemble at the field? I have a big 3 row SUV but not sure it will fit thru the rear hatch with the plane assembled. My Tigercat has to have a wing removed to get it in/out.
You most likely have to take the wings off.... However, this one may go in sideways without taking the wings off, because the airplane is fairly short:)
Hi Rich, just noticed your comment about buying through your website. For me to have another of these, I would want to have one with the markings not applied, and preferably the orange band and blue paint not applied, except for on the plastic parts... Hey no problem quite simply you need to find the centre of gravity because you don’t want the aircraft to be to tail heavy otherwise it loses Aileron authority. There is an old saying among pilots “ knows heavy flies again, tail heavy flies once” so knowing where the CG point is as you can imagine is very important so that you can get the aircraft perfectly balanced in flight.
Hello Rich, my gear doors close before the mains come up. Horizon took my other one back and I got another from Tower and it does the same thing. Can you please tell me where the sequencer plugs in. Thank you in advance! 🙋♂️🖖🏻
Hello Rich. Found the problem….they had the plug that goes to the tail wheel in the wrong spot ! I I moved it to the forward set of pins and that did the trick! Thanks for responding and always enjoy your videos! 👍🙋♂️🖖🏻
Both ate really great & you will not go wrong either way. The FL is a faster model with out of the box power, but lacks the scale detail of the FMS plane. The FMS model is larger, more scale & more detailed with things like working tail gear doors, but it really needs a power upgrade out of the box. Switching to high timing on 6s or better yet, upgrading the ESC for 8s is preffered:)
Help! I’m running a Spektrum ar630 receiver with the reflex . Only problem is when I pick up the gear, the doors close then after a few seconds the Gear retracts…..any thoughts ?.🙋♂️🖖🏻
Hello Rich, I disconnected the reflex and put everything on my receiver and still the same problem. Goto retract the gear and the doors close then the gear starts retracting. Anytime else I can try? Thanks a bunch for the help! 🖖🏻
Missed the live, but watched several. I’m in need of an informed (pun intended) opinion on 2 aircraft you. Have assembled/flown - Flightline 1600 Corsair and the FMS 1700 Corsair. In your opinion, which is the better aircraft? I’m able to get either and the FMS is only $20 more, Thanks!
Really depends what you are after as both have pro’s and con’s. The Flightline is a faster flying aircraft from a speed/performance perspective “out of the box” but the FMS is definitely far superior with regard to scale. The FMS does have the capability for 8s, or you can put the 360kv motor in on 6s and it will go faster-it really does come down to personal choice (what you are after-scale or speed out the box). Rich, if I step up to the FMS 360kv do I need to change the prop to get a bit more oomph from this bird or is the stock prop ok still.

If you got the plane recently, it is probably the new prop. That prop is good with the 360kv motor!

Looks good except for the plastic prop hub???? Would aluminum been better
It's is an extremely tough plastic hub with the metal nut moulded into it. It is the best quality!

I'm wondering if the sequencer leads are plugged in the wrong ports?
I will trace the wires and see where they go tomorrow. I am assuming they are plugged in to that circuit board somewhere….

You will either need to turn OFF the AS3X stabilization ir the receiver OR remove the REFLEX & use the AS3X stabilization in the receiver.

Which orange receiver did you go with? Model number?

@@rickbruceroche2038 also, the flightline model has no tailwheel doors. The FMS has a really nice scale tail gear and doors that open and close.
