Thanks man for finding me! It's funny though because like 3 days after this video, I feel stuck again. Like I could do a bunch of repetitive crap with a metronome. Now what? I probably need to play with other musicians. A lot of growth happens there!
@RobertRMusic we can thank youtubes algorithms for that one lol. and feeling "stuck" is actually a really good thing, just gotta keep pushin through no matter how pissed you get at it. best advice i can give is to find the beats that your struggling with, play them super super slow where you dont mess up at all and then slowly speed up and find the tempo where you start to mess up and then stay there till you got it down pat. that goes along way. and also NOT developing bad habits behind the kit. they are HARD to break
Play linear less when you first sit down and start with rudement exercises. Its boring but it keeps you in the pocket. Then after you warm up go linear and imrov for beats. Im a 25 year guitar player and beginning drummer and thats what my drum teacher told me. Helped me improvise and improve immensely
nice!!!! keepeth going thy fellow drummer!

@@Gustavo-gp1ru what does play linear less mean? Not resorting to always aligning with the click?
