Got a few more surprises for you guys before the holiday season is out, might cover the Dawning weapons if that's of interest to you guys. Will be live in a few hours btw: twitch.tv/ascendantnomad
Hi AscendantNomad, thank u so much for uploading this informative video there are definitely a lot of great or at least interesting weapon perk combos on this season's weapons that I would like to get my hands on. I've been actively keeping up with your other videos and even channel features (loved the spicy clips video #34 you did with TDT) and your takes about Bungie and different aspects of D2 are great food for thought topics. I wanted to ask you tho, what is the website you are using in this video to see the stat rolls of D2 weapons with specific perks on them and can this website be used on your phone? P.S. love the voice.
You’re highly mistaken on appetence, the pvp roll is overflow and killing tally! Overflow doesn’t count as a reload so you can keep the stacks of killing tally increasing. I’ve got hundreds of pvp kills with mine at this point and once you start chaining x2-3 KT it’s insane… very slept on people will never adopt it even if it’s good
Hey! Chances are you're too busy to reply to this, but I have the same question as @sebastianlocke94 ; what website are you using to simulate the different weapon rolls?
For my Doomed Petitioner I run max stability, enhanced Reconstruction and enhanced Precision instrument. Unfortunately as a solo player that doesn't have op raid weapons I have to go for the second best option. Sure fire team finder is in the game but I've never done a raid let alone beat one so no one has time to raid with me. I avoid discord LFG because of the toxic users.
Felt unhinged going into trials matches and laughing whenever I saw three void titans on the enemy team, knowing the absolute suffering they were about to experience
Yup. And I’m gonna keep it in mine. I have been absolutely slapping strand woven mail wearing and void overshield wearing guardians ever since I crafted it. Light gg has my roll grades as a D. It’s easily an S tier rapid fire fusion for the crucible with the roll I have.
As detailed from Legoleflash, Scatter Signal also is the first fusion with Under Over, which grants a 20% damage buff against Overshields and Woven Mail, and lowers the bolt count from 8 to 9 for a kill (assuming you're running Liquid Coils against Overshields). Very useful against any barricade or Strand Titans. edit: 9 to 8
Something important to note with Appentance, destroying a Headstone crystal can proc column 3 perks on enemies the shatter damage hits as long as you do it with the gun, so Demo/Headstone can be a really nice combo for getting a ton of grenade energy fast.
Shatter kills don't proc Demo, so it's not as good as you would hope. But Demo will always be one of the strongest left column perks in the game regardless.
@martinprovo2389 Depends if it counts as a "shatter" kill. Dragonfly and Incandescent kills count as weapon kills, which is really nice. Voltshot is a mixed bag, as it depends on the order of operations (only chain kills from a killed target count as weapon kills, while chain kills from an alive target do not). Stasis grenade kills are sometimes "Shatter" kills, which are NOT grenade kills, and Headstone "Shatter" kills are sometimes NOT weapon kills. It's inconsistent and frustrating. Fun fact: Killing Tally does NOT recognize Demolitionist grenade throws as a "reload". This blew my mind when I tested it. Demolitionist + Killing Tally is super viable combo.
@@Pocket_Fox The killing tally thing is good to know, I knew Demo doesn't proc Kill Clip, so that lines up. I think the thing with Shatter kills is more of an issue with the grenades the way they coded it because I think for the longest time they always had an issue with shatter from glacier nades counting as grenade kills and they finally sorted it, because it used to not spawn an Elemental well when those mods were around. I think they fixed it though eventually, because that ability spam was my favoritedue to fragments. I know it procs weapon related perks though because that's how Verglas Curve works with the wavefront swap, or kills with its own crystals in general and with Eyasluna + Unrelenting, because that was a combo in a video that Kackis talked about which is why I always wanted it. For whatever reason the coding always associated with the shatter itself I guess because it counting as ability never was consistent.
@martinprovo2389 That makes sense. Maybe it's more the grenade issue that I'm remembering, rather than Headstone. It's honestly been a while since I played Stasis consistently, given how strong other elements have been, lol.
The pulse is the best arc pulse there has been. Has keep away and headseeker and is wow. Headseeker is phenomenal on it and the trait perk is fantastic.
13:05 One note about precision instrument: I don’t know if it was glitched or not when I tested it with friends, but a divinity bubble completely negates the perk from activating. My guess is that, because you’re not technically hitting the enemy themselves, and it’s coded to activate when you do, it never activates. So you’re only really getting the damage increase from div
I don’t know if you just didn’t like scalar potential, but for me, at least, it’s one of the best feeling pulses I’ve ever used. I think it performs outside of its stats, I don’t know, I’m not really sure how to say that I’m trying to say. I know it feels really really good
it's got a set recoil pattern which definitely helps, the burst will always follow the same basic pattern and position so it's much less random. definitely helps the feel as it's more predictable in where your shots land
wallah made a vid on it cuz he lovessss it. he mentioned the recoil being very nice. I'm kind of a pvp noob, but compared to every pulse I've tried this thing is just so effortless and smooth. Headshots come real easy with it. It just feels really nice to use and I can't really describe it either.
Same, the gun shreds and is the best feeling 540 I've ever used. Something about it feels significantly better than any other 540. I guess it's keep away and the recoil. First 540 I don't have to spec into max stability. I think he didn't give it enouhg of a try.
Overflow on Scatter is actually even better because enhanced makes it overflow a bit more than double, probably more so than you can use in a damage phase.
Slice on Scatter Signal is unique: you lose out on the mag size of Overflow, but halving enemy damage is huge for survivability and team play, especially if you're not using a Strand subclass.
Supercluster with cascade point is amazing for bursting down majors in higher end activities. Being a special and cascade requiring either kills or just crits, it's EXTREMLY easy to proc at any time with a primary or power weapon, whether it being for bursting majors during ad clear or for boss dps. The other perks it has are available on other slugs, and with Heritage available while also doing 15% more base damage, so with that being the case cascade point is the clear choice. It's the best way to take out higher health yellow bars just due to how fast it puts those shots out, even compared to Heritage with recombination(especially considering it's extremly easy to miss the buffed first shot in the chaos of an arena filled with shooting ads, and therefore flinch), and make for a great alternative and tool worthy of a coveted slot in anyone's vault. And hell, because acendant alloys are(finally) eaisly obtainable why not craft 2 of them?
You forgot to mention the intrinsic benefit of aggressive pulse linear fusion rifles. If your aim is trash on the initial shot, you can still land a partial amount of damage with the rest of the bolts, whereas if you shoot and miss a single bolt linear, there goes your entire round's worth of damage.
Does a single burst give you 3 stacks of Precision Instrument? I know Chill Clip doesn't work like that, unfortunately (that would have been so cool!). Edit: I just rewatched the video more closely and the answer is YES! Max stacks in only 2 bursts.
For people that don't consistently hit their initial shot, I can definitely see aggressive frames being a bit better But if we're strictly talking about ease of use for optimal damage, the recoil on aggressive frames makes it really annoying to use on dungeon bosses especially when nobody uses div in dungeons
It sounds odd but I crafted my Appentence with Deconstruct and Clown with stability/capacity traits. It fires and fires and fires........and fires. Get this thing on a crit after a reload and it becomes a real long rolling workhorse. Sometimes you just want a fun gun that does things others don't
“Plus you need to be a special kind of catch to even entertain that (cascade point Supercluster) thought.” Idk, I ran it on my gyrfalcon hunter with Buried Bloodline to quickly ding a red bar and it deleted the wardweavers in the abomination boss fight in a coil run lol. Get devour going, invis, ding a red bar to trigger cascade, ding the wizard once w Bloodline to break its shield and apply weaken, then unload w Supercluster. Could see it being nice in the Ruins boss fights where you only activate one totem and get like 5 seconds for dps or shorter situations like that.
4:55 I maxed out range (not fullbore though) with enhanced perpetual and enhanced over under and my god it’s a beast. It can kill any guardian at any resilience even with over shields in a healing rift or with woven mail. Very very very solid/reliable
Permeability has some odd behavior with exotics that give surges to matching elements. It doesn't forget its original element, so you can stack x3 on your legs for the original and x4 from matching (e.g. Icefall Mantle) to get wild performance.
I want to add something about Appetance as well: out of over 600 guns in this game, only 14 weapons can roll with the specific combination of Demolition and Wellspring. Out of 14 of those weapons, 4 are Primary Weapons and 3 are Special Weapons. Out of them, only 3 of them can be crafted weapons. These weapons are: the Optative 180 RPM Handcannon, the Appetance Trace Rifle, and the Judgement of Kelgorath Aggressive Glaive. This combination is special because, when crafted, the Appetance and the Optative each grant 18% Grenade energy on a kill. Enhanced, 20% per kill. The glaive stands out for its ability to instead provide 31% grenade energy, however as this is a glaive, even I'm not sure if this is a worthwhile thing to go for. But anyways, out of all these weapons, Appetance can easily generate so much grenade energy the easiest. Imagine the kind of add clear this weapon can help you achieve!
Scalar potential feels difficult to use because of its deterministic recoil. I got mine crafted and tried it in crucible and was not having a good time. While it may be great in skilled hands, it has a higher barrier of entry that makes picking it up for the first time a rodeo you don't want to be on.
I have 5/6 patterns already. And 3/5 of them fully crafted. The shotty, fusion, and trace. I love the trace, headstone and demo is so good for my stasis Titan build.
Appearance with Overflow/Killing Tally is pretty funny on a Ballidorse Shadebinder. Easy to rev up KT and go on a tear without ever reloading thanks to Overflow feeding bricks straight into the mag.
Pair apentance crafted with demolitionist wellspring with chain of command with demolitionist+ osmiomancy gloves and any special weapon with demolitionist + bleak watcher it's nuts
Anddd again, yes headseeker does help the forgiveness of rapid fire pulses! I’d appreciate this set of reviews a lot more if the info you provide isn’t just absolutely downright wrong, I can link you a headseeker spreadsheet on every resilience if you “wish”
Overflow Cascade Point on Until Its Return (strand rapid fire shotgun) is really fun. Not generally practical but very fun to just delete champions by firing a shotgun quickly. Supercluster probably has similar feel although Im not sure how the shooting experience will be since you care about crits more on this than a pellet shotgun.
I still feel like Scalar Potential should've been a Lightweight instead of a Rapid-Fire. We already have three Arc Rapid-Fire Pulses in play, we didn't need a 4th, not yet at least.
someone said it below but in a much less... reasonable way, but scalar potential does have 1 benefit over most rapid fire pulses, its got the new set recoil pattern, so every burst always has the same directional pattern meaning recoil direction is less important. I personally hate darkest before because of the recoil patterns and imo the perks on horrors least are kinda bad, but this pulse just feels good, maybe it's more noticeable on controller rather than kbm but even in 3v3 I've been doing better using it than any other weapon recently. (plus it has the same base model as my favourite all time Crucible weapon cold denial so it's instantly better)
Yesterday we did 6 doomed petitionners on oryx all recon/ precision and we one phased with 4 bombs. I don’t remember all the supers but I know there were 2 nighthawk golden guns
Just to throw this in there precision instrument doesn’t proc on a div bubble only the physical crit on the boss. Tested this multiple times in ghosts of the deep
I crafted scatter signal with overflow and Controlled burst. Shreds the bosses on the moon activity. It. Does. Work. Mines a 16 round mag with 2 in reserves😅
Funnily enough. I cant remember which activity it was in ( either in crucible i believe or some higher tier content) that dragons perk reamins constantly active if not in a fireteam
We've already got a 3 burst linear with enhanced surrounded in Briar's Contempt, meaning there's no reason to not craft precision instrument on the new one, variety is the name of the game. I guess you could craft 2, one with each perk, for different boss fights and surges now that alloys are a dime a dozen. Bungie really needs to let us permanently unlock perks on weapons and allow us to freely swap at the enclave so we don't have to either use 2 precious vault slots to spend extra mats whenever we wanna swap perks for a specific situation.
Doomed as a much better origin trait tho so other than activities with solar surges I see no reason of using Briar over doomed. And most surge activities are 1830+ so I wouldnt think you would even be using a surrounded LFR
I see appetence being good with stasis lock but that’s it for titans we only use strand and solar and maybe void depends and hunters now use solar with void and strand for the quick ass reload and envious breaking
I think the issue with supercluster is just that slugs are strictly worse for double special dps. Agressives are stcitly better for people not doing the swap bug like the maniacs in speedruns and rapid fire pellets are just better cascade point users.
the only use i can think of for the scalar potential is if u want to have strand wapons in all 3 slots it can switsh wapon damege typ when u use the class ability the damege typ wil matsh your subclass til u stow it
What a hot take on Scalar Potential. It's very popular, for good reason. I'd say it's my new favorite, most consistent 540. But I guess your mileage may vary.
I love how I immediately went into the Supercluster section thinking "oh he's totally gonna talk about Cascade Point shenanigans and how good it is" and uh. Apparently I'm unhinged lmao
I really liked Scalar when I tried it. An Adept Horrors Least is probably better, but my roll doesn't have the best perks, and I really, REALLY hate the sights on Oversoul. Scalar just felt nice to shoot, I dunno.
To be fair, i think precision instrument is just sustained damage now? My bow specifically says sustained. Either way. 30% buff to a harder hitting frame than precision frame linears. It definitely will do more dps than cataclysmic. My briars contempt already can do more with just frenzy let alone focused fury
Somebody explain why on earth you would use steady hands instead of impulse amplifier on the bow? Nomad out here trippin. Also the pusle is very good. Many like it better than oversoul because of the superior feel of the gun.
Absolutely devious of you to miss out on 21% deliriums roll on the trace. Overflow/Killing tally is silly as overflow doesn't remove killing tally stacks cause it doesn't count as a reload.
i havent played destiny since witch queen any site i can go to to know what are good perks for pvp and pve, along with good builds i have no idea whats good dfor titan

“It’s not the fastest time to kill”
Lucky Pants has entered the chat
As someone who doesn't have anyone to do raids with Supercluster could be a very good substitute for Heritage
The bow can roll with Repulsor Brace + Explosive Head. That's the absolute dream roll for volatile builds.
the only use i can think of for the scalar potential is if u want to have strand wapons in all 3 slots it can switsh wapon damege typ when u use the class ability the damege typ wil matsh your subclass til u stow it
What a hot take on Scalar Potential.
Under over on the scatter is insanely good for trials right now.
"Dodge more often then politicians" Indeed sir. Do you even Lie and Shake hands? lol
I’m glad you said Scalar isn’t worth using, below the radar I shall operate, I think it’s great, but I’m not the famous content creator lmao 🤣
If I'm to believe the title then yes Nomad, they are good.
I’ll pick scalar potential over
Oversoul any day
Cleaned sights better origin trait and the weapon model is way slimmer and covers less screen
Appetence has demo headstone, you’ll be throwing grenades like crazy on it
the amount of people that look over killing tally + overflow for pvp is crazy
Hunters, who dodge more than politicians. U
Im dead 😂. I subscribed.
You and Datto should do colab videos for PvP/PvE rolls. Just sayin- that would be amazing content and inclusive for both sides of the game ❤
I really liked Scalar when I tried it. An Adept Horrors Least is probably better, but my roll doesn't have the best perks, and I really, REALLY hate the sights on Oversoul. Scalar just felt nice to shoot, I dunno.
7:34 Lethophobia has to have a lucky pants build for pvp already
To be fair, i think precision instrument is just sustained damage now? My bow specifically says sustained. Either way. 30% buff to a harder hitting frame than precision frame linears. It definitely will do more dps than cataclysmic. My briars contempt already can do more with just frenzy let alone focused fury
The politician comment was gold.
Thanks!
Just fyi thw tracerifle with demo and killing tally means you can have 100% uptime on killing tally on an osmiomancy warlock
Somebody explain why on earth you would use steady hands instead of impulse amplifier on the bow? Nomad out here trippin. Also the pusle is very good. Many like it better than oversoul because of the superior feel of the gun.
Most likely to have faster swap to hc for the clean up.
10:24 did they change vorpal on heavies back to 15? Cause I thought it went 20/15/10, with those number being primary/energy/heavy
It's definitely still 10% on heavies, he just misremembered I believe
what website is he using to check how the perks affects them
deconstruct + 4ttc supercluster is kinda fun actually.
We are approaching unheard of levels of weapon reskinning
can someone tell me what website or program he uses to look at the weapon perks
d2foundry
Ok but using repulsor plus tricorn on a volatile rounds controlled demolition titan is one of the strongest things ive used on void titan
I used my crafted scatter signal to solo flawless the new dungeon
lol i crafted the 1 wepon that you said is bad i thought of the perk that changes the damage type but theirs better options for everything else to.
Woah surprised to see the disrespect for Scalar. I’ve been mowing lobbies with that thing. IMO better than Oversoul I think.
I don't know how it happened but I was able to stuff 19 rounds into my doomed petitioner with enhanced envious assassin
Absolutely devious of you to miss out on 21% deliriums roll on the trace. Overflow/Killing tally is silly as overflow doesn't remove killing tally stacks cause it doesn't count as a reload.
It’s kinda sad that strand and stasis shotguns cant compete and pretty much DoA because of that 15% damage buff
What's the site being used for the build craft? I've never seen it before
I run reconstruction and cascade on super love it and slide shot fragile focus for pvp
Cascade point unfortunately sucks because it has such a short active time
With the nerf to Chill Clip, Scatter Sig will be really good.
Thankyuuuuu
hunters that dodge more than politicians🤣🤣🤣 had me dying
i havent played destiny since witch queen any site i can go to to know what are good perks for pvp and pve, along with good builds i have no idea whats good dfor titan
What is that app or website you use to look at the perks and stats of the weapons
