This hidden scene really makes you feel how much grief Lulu lives with. Her first Summoner ends up dying, she then loses the love of her life Chappu, and now the girl that she considers her little sister, Yuna, is on the same path to giving her life up. It really lets you see how much sadness this woman has to go throughout the game.
John Swift well the idea is that you need some sort of *somewhat* irrational want for whatever soul they wish to beckon, that certainly applies to trommel when it comes to seymour, and it applies to Seymour when it comes to sin My own personal theory is that this is actually Seymour as sin and it wasnt sin being "beckoned" though it does require trommel beckoning Seymour So Seymour comes back cause of trommel and then Seymour attains the next level summoner powers like yuna used on tidus to transform himself into a new sin
I found the macalania and the lulu scene, but since I went there before going inside sin, I actually got an extra scene where he panics wondering where jyscal and Seymour were. It's... actually kinda creepy
When I saw this scene as a kid I was just scared that he would send a dark aeon after me. I had already stumbled upon five of those (and losing to all of them within 10 seconds) before meeting him, so I was rather surprised that he didn't have backup.
I loved just traversing through Spira again once the airship was unlocked, felt like recovering your tracks and seeing the state of the world as Yevon is in disarray and the public is confused, collecting the Jecht spheres as well. It was a great choice to give that point of freedom before the end
He follows his leaders blindly, yet another connection this game has to the real world. I dont even recall ever seeing this scene & I spent over 100 hours on it. Such depth
Interesting! The scene with Tromell in the Farplane and what he says after the scene actually varies whether Seymour is or is not sent yet. I've always gone in before beating Seymour Omnis so this is actually new to me!
I remember this scene almost 10 years ago when i went for 100%. But never realized how dark it is until now. And holy shit, even the HD collection is now 10 years old. i'm getting old man
I did back and forth run throughs of Spira twice! But I never thought to revisit the Farplane specifically, though mostly because I was used to not being able to go there anyways from X-2.
@@SirMoFoDans4 same here XD, not only dark Shiva but dark Valfor, Bahamut, Ifrit, Ixion, and magus sisters, the last two gave me a good lesson not to speak to lone npcs in barren areas
Fact: Tromell in this game is voiced by legendary voice actor Corey Burton, best known as the voice of Shockwave, Spike Witwicky and other characters from the original Transformers cartoon as well as Transformers Animated.
...I hated how the international version betrays my expectations thanks to the freaking dark aeons. Before heading to the Quado, I decided to explore macalania temple and besaid temple, as well as mushroom rock road. And guess _what?_ all three of these locations were roadblocked by valefor shiva and the magus sisters. So I was scared to go to any town that would have _any_ enemies
The guys at Mushroom Rock Road are avoidable, actually, just make a big circle around them, though Besaid Village and Macalania Temple are definitely blocked until you defeat the dark aeons that guard their entrance, worst part is that dark bahamut blocks the room that contains Tidus' crest, and so in order to upgrade Caladbolg you would have to defeat dark bahamut in order to get access to it again if you missed it during the first visit where you fought Yunalesca.
I'm glad It took me so long to finally play FFX. I play it on an Android emulator (AetherSX2), so I can choose which version to play, and the emulator features makes it much more convenient (save states, speed up, slow down down, FMV skipping, portability). Not to mention the availability of knowledge about everything in the game. I miss the latest games less and less. One day they'll be old enough for me to know if they're really worth playing
If you come here before doing Yojimbo's cave then Lulu is frustrated/dissapointed no one is here and gets kinda pissed at you for asking "who are you looking for." Though I never came back after doing the stolen fayth cave so this was nice to see.
Thank you Seymour Guado, very cool tainting your tribe's moral & pride. Also Tromell is really good at playing victim he started to become a real victim

Absolutely crushing, caught this my second play through not long ago and even the empathy they can draw out of me from a side character never seizes to amaze me. Such conviction
Raydnt he did, but his loyalty and emotion shown after Seymour dies is heart shattering, they have no will to live anymore is what really spoke to me about how much the guado loves their leader
I get Lu,Yuna and Rikku even i've experienced the Blitz of Ace with Yuna and Lulu but scene in Macalania between Auron and Kimahri,i just figured at this video
This scene is that variation when Seymour is sent. When I went into the Farplane and talked to Tromell without having sent Seymour, a different cutscene shows where Tromell only speaks to Jyscal.
It bugs me that he keeps calling himself a man. He's not even human. He should be calling himself this old Gaudo". I know most people don't catch this because somehow the word man got conflated with sexuality however it has nothing to do with that. All animals are the same they have more then one name per gender. Dog, B*st**d, male Dog, B*t*h, female Chicken, C**k, male Chicken, hen, female Human, Man, male Human, Women, Female Because this is a fantasy game they don't consider scientific classifications. I really enjoyed this game when I was younger and I still do. If I had it I'd play the shyte out of it again. My favorite scene is when Tidas finds out about Yuna's destiny.

MrAwesomeMatty I'm also wondering if that guy is who beckoned sin for the story of ffx-3.. or if the guado as a whole did.
John Swift easiest guess is trommel beckoned Seymour who then beckoned sin
dantexinfinity I never thought about that, i saw the theory that Seymour became sin... as well.. I have so many questions. 😂
John Swift well the idea is that you need some sort of *somewhat* irrational want for whatever soul they wish to beckon, that certainly applies to trommel when it comes to seymour, and it applies to Seymour when it comes to sin

Said it before and I'll say it again.. FFX just hits a little different than the rest of em.. the game is just special
It's the small scenes like these that really show the game's depth. I don't ever recall finding this scene, thanks for the post!

There's nothing like that sigh the old man lets out after Tidus threatens him tho lmao
10/10 voice acting there

Tried doing that when I went to the Macalania Temple just to see how people would react. Got a nasty little shock and got my ass beat by Dark Shiva.

Kinda ironic that he hoped to die soon yet is still alive two years later in X-2 only to see the Guado Society crumbling as he anticipated
In X-2, it is possible for Tromell & the rest of Guado (possibly the Guado Glories as well) are killed if the player does not stop the Ronso attack.
