- I just heard the news about the passing of Stephen Sondheim who will always be one of my biggest inspirations as a songwriter. Here I am in January of 2020 singing one of my favorite songs at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs. RIP Maestro. xo

Spencer, we SO enjoyed having you here in Sacramento once again this past Saturday, January 18 ~ from Del Webb's Sun City in Lincoln, to the Benvenuti Performing Arts Center in North Natomas, and now at the gorgeous new Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for The Arts in downtown, it's apparent Sacramento loves you! With the 5 times we have seen you live at Feinstein's at The Nikko in San Francisco, this marked our 8th time to see you in concert! Sitting in the front row, we felt like you were entertaining just us, but the crowd at the Sofia was on fire! When you asked for song suggestions, it was fun to hear so many of us long-time fans yell out some of our favorites from your early recordings. Although your meet & greet was shortened, we were happy so many of the friends we brought to see you for the 1st time were able to say hello and have their CD's signed. Looking forward to your next concert soon ~ cheers from Markcurtis Otani & Jimmy Short.
