This is not my thing (went with MMC Bruticus) but MAN that engineering is something, and like you alluded to in the text at the end, it's sort of part-and-parcel for Menasor's source material.
Impressive, you seem to be one of the first TF UA-camrs to receive monolith. The video came out great, I admire your patience shooting this crazy of a transformation on such a large figure. Though it looks nicely engineered, it unfortunately doesn't look that much fun to me. I'd swap the individual figures between combined, robot and alt modes a lot, but not the trailer.
It's also a terrible experience much worse then it seems in this amazing video due to the cheap feeling brittle parts and weak hinges holding really large chunks
Holy damn man, huge props to you for this work. I know how insane that transformation is, I'm having a headache just looking at your vid, can't imagine how it must have been for you!
Honestly the fact that the main combiner body is separate doesn't really bother me because unlike fanstoys Superion, it doesn't just sit in a pile when it's not attached to the other robots. It's basically a sixth figure with an equally complex transformation to the rest of the set.
We don't know though what fans toys superion extra parts will do. The Zeta toys are the ones that are totally separate. Maybe FT will give them some alternate function
I have more less experience and lower quality in my stop motions.. but I know from my expierence (or at least, have an idea) how hardwork, time, and technique these videos can demand... my respect and admiration.. thanks for this kind of videos. Very usefuller
I like how you did the feet first eliminating clearance issues of prying the arms open when transforming top first out of trailer mode. If that made any sense. Some good ideas here. Thanks
I never really cared for menasor and this figure really showcases why. Even putting aside how he's basically a separate robot wearing the others as armor, his combined form is so... Bland. Great video though.
Truth to be told, XTB Monolith looks miles and miles better than DX9 Attila! XTB(KFC) nails the aesthetic every time, while DX9 almost never. Lol Sorry not sorry. 😌
Wow, you XTB fanboys have been crawling out of the woodwork lately. Defending the Egg, the trailer, the accessory pack, Locke and Virtus like your lives depended on it. I used to disbelieve that you really existed but here you are. BTW, try not to cry when Marauder finally finishes and the FT fanboys shit all over this like you did against DX9 lol.
Amazing. Well done. You make it look easy and fun, and the figure looks great. I personally don't think it's over engineered and am looking forward to getting my trailer. Just need to make sure my table is clear 😅. Surprised you could get Gravestone in there without unpegging a side, unless that was just camera magic. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it when you do your next stream.
The complexity of the trailer puts me off of buying the set, not saying the set is bad or anything, but I don't wanna fuss with the trailer for an hour just for the combined mode (which is why I might pick up the DX9 set instead, as the transformation for the trailer doesn't look as hard, and it comes with the motormaster, vs being separate like it is with this set)
A combiner that doesn't combine? I'm... confused. EDIT: At the time I posted this comment, I wasn't paying full attention. I thought Motormaster's truck mode turned into Menasor without combining with the other Stunticons.
Mine will never see base mode. Ever. While I'm not a fan of Fanstoys "suddenly" re-issuing Springer part of me says good for X-transbots. Screwed the people with this overly complicated, expensive trailer and accessory pack and then $200 for springer??? $200 for kup? Found me FT Koot for $140. I'm good.
@@peolesdru perhaps... im not familiar with the financials but fantoys galvatron and cyclonus were like 200 when they came out. Dr egg is like $130. Point is I don't mind spending the money if the product is quality. And there is a pretty significant difference between xtransbots and fanstoys. I just feel like I got suckered into purchasing the whole team only to be told that if you wanna form menasor, you gonna need another $300. Lemme know up front. Transparency is all I ask.

It looks like a great figure but the legs make me don't want it cause it looks like the leg stunticons are just hanging off the back of legs not being actual parts of menasor
I've seen actual, industrial robot being less complex than the trailer transformation! also, not even motormaster transform? what's the real point then, a team bot without a team
It's pretty cheaty, but honestly, It is nice that X-Transbots went ahead and made the combiner figure turn into a trailer. Most Zeta and Fanstoys combiners don't do that, the combiner bodies are just a non-transforming brick with a pair of thighs. While I would have preferred it if the arms and calves were thinner so it looked more like the car modes filled them in, I think this trailer is mildly more elegant than DX9's as you don't have to break it in half to transform Motormaster, and the arms look more filled in.
@@maxmocs5008 Fans Toys haven't released a full combiner yet. We don't know how everything comes together with them. Do you mean Toy World, with their Constructor?

@@TAURON85 First of all, please don't be a jerk. Second, fans wanting to see a more interesting combination for Menasor isn't unreasonable. MMC made a very good entirely-built-in combiner, and has another on the way. Toyworld made a Devastator with minimal partsforming. Even most recent Hasbro combiners don't rely too much on the center figure. I don't see what's wrong with wanting that kind of treatment applied to the Stunticons.

I didn't realize it would be that complex.
It was weird to watch redundant wheels cover the wheels on the car legs. Seems like overkill.
My guess is when they upscaled it to 50cm they ended up with the legs too wide and that was the fix.

what a monster. but basically if you just get the trailer alone you already have a menasor?
