    Thank you for these videos yes surgeries cause that as well and years ago, they didn’t tell me that I couldn’t exercise afterwards and I’ve exercise and exercise and I’m in my early seven days and so I don’t know if I can ever get rid of it now but I don’t like it and I don’t like the pooch all the time and the bloating that goes with itmaybe some more exercises on the obliques

    I have DR on above belly button.2finger going inside.Below belly button not even one finger gap. So am still looking like 5months pregnant even though my second child was 1.5year old. Can i do this exercise, is it safe??

    • @sherbetstraw
      @sherbetstraw Місяць тому

      I don't think it can do any harm! I have similar in that I seem to have DR above and below my belly button but it "pulls in" around the belly button. My physio gave me similar exercises to the ones in this video.

    • @jericakerns
      @jericakerns 5 місяців тому

      I would think this workout works your entire body. You would defintely need to engage your core while doing the workout. I'm not sure if you can wear a binder while doing the workout. I do know that some of the exercises she's doing are ways to also get rid of a fupa

    I heard you shouldn’t do a lot of crossing over moves for diastasis recti… this workout included a lot of those. Thoughts?

    • @FitWithSally
      @FitWithSally  Місяць тому +2

      I love this question! Forward crossing is great. Turning backwards or overextending your core muscles however is not recommended. So for example turning your upper body backwards while your legs stay where they are is something you should prevent. Forward crossing is good because you engage your deep core muscles to do that. Only backwards crossing over over bending your core is not recommended.

    How long would I need to do these exercises until the Diastasis Recti is healed? I know everyone is different but is there a base line that I should see improvements?
    Also how often should I do these a week?

    • @FitWithSally
      @FitWithSally  Місяць тому

      I would recommend doing this 3-4 times per week to see results within 2 months

    Can I do diastasis recti exercises for 30 mins? Or is it too much?

  • @Carolina_girl86
    @Carolina_girl86 2 місяці тому

    What about if you already have/ had a fat stomach then developed Diastasis recti during pregnancy. What do you can to flatten your stomach since you can’t do regular crunches or use gym machines targeting your abs because of Diastasis recti?

    • @FitWithSally
      @FitWithSally  Місяць тому +1

      I recommend focussing on healing your diastasis recti first. This will help you flatten your core. Also do other workouts that are diastasis recti safe. You find a full playlist with diastasis recti safe workouts on my channel. Once the gap is healed you can start doing regular workokuts & gym workouts again. I hope this helps. All the best to you Carolina

    • @FitWithSally
      @FitWithSally  Місяць тому

      It very much depends on how often you do diastasis recti safe core exercises. Try to do it 3 times per week and you should see a difference within 2 months.
