This gem came out when I was 7. I didn't know who the artist was and I've been hunting for this tune for around 25 years. Hard to find because there are no lyrics to go by. Finally found it yesterday. Still sounds as fresh as it did when I was a kid.

I was born in 1989 but i'm in love with these kind of creations... I discovered a genre called Synthwave, basically it's this kind of music which was pioneered by the French. In spotify if you look up for Synthwave playlists you will find endless of underground QUALITY creations...... I can't stop listening to them.. Especially if you have a great audio system, holy crap

I have to agree to some extent. This does sound very Daft Punk and the fact that they wear space helmets in the video is definitely inspiration to them. However they haven't sited these guys as influences. They have talked about lots of other electronic artists as well as some French based ones in addition to other genres of music. As the saying goes "what goes around comes around" and styles of music have their time and place, go away for a while and come back but in a slightly different form. Daft Punk just became more successful that this group at doing this style of music.

When I was a kid I was mesmerized by the drummer's gestures, hitting like a blind crazy machine. It's still making me laugh a lot. I think the guys in the video were all blinded during the shooting as the helmets' bulbs were certainly painted in the alpha color to display the effects in post prod. Such a classic.

I used to watch Wei Wei Wong where she was a hostess as she appeared in the old quiz show of The Golden Shot where the host who also died was Bob Monkhouse, Norman Vaughn and Charlie Williams as another hostess named Anne Aston used to count the scores that were on the scoring targets and it used be on a Sunday at tea time.
