Beyond words, brings tears, I'm 52....closer to the end than the beginning, love this song. And, you start thinking about what songs you would like played when you are laid to rest. This is one of them.
You’re 52, don’t think about the daisies for another 30 years!
I'm 52, fitter than I was in my 20's and loving life.
Cop on to yourself.
Yeah, shit man, I'm older than you by about 10 years and I'm still doing great, and in fact my only physical problem is that...OMG, I CAN"T BREATHE! PLEASE, IF ANYONE'S READING THIS RIGHT NOW, CALL AN AMBULANCE. I LIVE AT 1273 MILLHOUSE.... OH GOD! IT'S TOO LATE. I CAN SEE ANGELS, AND THEY'RE PLAYING MUSIC... OH GOD NO!! IT'S "TURN ME LOOSE" BY LOVERBOY!!! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CHOOSE LOVERBOY ???? PLEASE GOD, NOooooooooo!!!!!
Mine would be Equinoxe IV.

He is Maurice Jarre's son, the man who composed such brilliant film soundtracks as Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, Witness, the Longest Day, etc etc... such a talented musician. I saw him in concert at La Défense, near Paris in the 80s. Unforgettable!
I was there to.... 1990
Moonlighting 1986
And Vangelis did Blade Runner
And Shogun

Music is a global language, maybe even a universal language. Jean Michel Jarre’s music certainly is that way, and also timeless, beautiful ❤
specially music without language. Everyone understand instrumental music 😅

When I heard this first on the radio, I jumped on my bicycle drove the few kilometers to te record shop in neck breaking speed to buy this record five minutes before the shop closed that day. Spent the whole night listen to the Album again and again with my yellow Sennheiser Headphones. It was a like a fantastic trip to another planet - and still is, after all these years. Thank you Mr. Jarre for these worlds.
Even after more than 40 years it still sounds fresh, original and futuristic! A masterpiece!
Love it!!
@Moist Flamingo Yes GTA 4 reintroduced me to this fantastic song. I think i heard it back in the 1980s but somehow forgot it later and rediscovered it back in 2008.
There was a tape included on the front of a ZX Spectrum mag in the UK that had a synth player program on it.
This masterpiece was one of the tunes included but never credited. Took me years to find the name of it.
Real version is slightly better than that Z80 rendition.

I remember turning on the tv one evening, just to see the presenter introduce a live feed from the concert at La Defense. I was captivated and just sat there and watched the concert, gorging myself on the experience. And from that day on, i was sold. I hope someday someone will consider doing a repeat of that performance. I would very much like to experience that live.

I remember hearing this in my dad's car when I was 5. It was the first song I can truly remember from that time. It blew me away and sounded like something from another planet at the time. Over 45 years and many synth songs through the decades later I truly believe this is the pioneer of all that music. It still sounds so fresh today.
Same here
This music is in gta 4 in radio ( the journey)
I was 7 in 1977 and having a major existential crisis (I had just learned that we die and did not take it well). This song brings back that fear, as it has an eerie, lonely sound - but by God do I love it. It transcends time and space.

Worked unsocial hours in the early 1980 's. Came home at 2 am to catch Concerts in China. Totally blown away. Bought the LP, no download in those days. Still have that LP but no apparatus to play it on. Good old days, gone downhill from there on.

It's such a good song, its hard to explain that specific background sound but they're so liquidly, like a semi bass bubble that's gently blooping away right near your ears.

Kraftwork lives on with JMJ great music
As do Tangerine Dream....... they were the Pioneers.....('ish😉)
It’s incredible that this was made over 40 years ago.
All the best and original stuff is now old, everything now is just a rehash and sampled from better old material, computers have killed humans imagination, we’ve had the best of what was possible, a long time ago.
I heard this song in school assembly about 30 years ago. Something about it just captivated me. I couldn't get the song out my head, but could never find it to hear it again. After all this time, I was starting to think it didn't exist and was just a figment of my imagination or some kind of Mandela affect.
Today it just randomly appeared in my recommended playlist and I almost cried. Takes me back to sitting on that cold wooden floor in assembly hearing it as a child. I remembered teachers who I had long forgotten. Their names and even what they were wearing. Isn't it amazing how a song can unlock memories like that.
How on earth couldn’t you find a copy of this song, probably thousands of uploads here on UA-cam & I’m sure you can purchase it online 🤔
@sallybutton6237 Try and find a song wirh no lyrics and you don't know the title of. It's not as easy as you'd think.

very True, but neither has Allan Parsons

No se ha publicado en disco nunca, porque no ha existido hasta que Alba Ecstasy la ha subido a UA-cam. Se de lo que hablo. Genius in every electronic pulse. JMJ used electronic instruments in a truly symphonic, classical way. The soundscapes he created are on a par with some of the greatest composers of all time in my opinion.
Amen to that brother. Amen to that.
Sparkles of sweet tunes combined with dewy bright coldness and spaciness (so characteristic of electronic music); dancing, enticingly beautiful riffs; variance and unique style (although, if one may: lacking tinges of feistiness and drollness) - an close approximation to sublime music.

Este tema es del año 81 y yo tenía 12 años cuando lo escuchaba. Desde entonces empecé a escuchar a Jean-Michell Jarre. Un amigo tenía el vinilo y alucinábamos escuchándolo en un equipo Kenwood. @@ThirdHandl don't say gta san andres
Thank you, was wondering where I heard this
@@ELHIPPO No, GTA V for me.
98 rock in Baltimore had a night program that played outliers in the 70’s. One night I heard oxygene pt 4 . I was so enthralled with the electronic sound my path became clear . Jarre set my course.
I grew up with Jarre, Vangelis,…. Wonderful time, wonderful moments….The synthesizer period in my life….Wish I could turn the clock back…… The days of past, present and future….
If only we could keep it in the heart
We have the same musical influences, It is a shame that when you talk of electronic music to young generations you only hear about party stuff.
Though the result of new and old is in our music. It could be great if you can give it a try

Giorgio Moroder is the king of synth.
@@defiverr4697 and JARRE
So good both of them, the gods of synth really, think that is a way to use a keyboard never seen before, hope they don't die forever, i still listen to them but i only know my dad listens to them, hope more people could appreciate this masterpieces
This music simply astonishes me today as it did when I was a kid. It reminds me of not only how much I enjoyed listening to it in my grandfather's turntable, but also how thrilled I used to get when this song played in Mega Drive's game, Road Rash, which I loved to play.
Thanks for sharing lucas, I like reading comments of history people have with certain songs. Would of been mindblowing to hear music like this on a turntable years ago
Loved this in 1977 and I still love it now. It's wonderful.
I can not believe this song was from 1977 holy crap only found out today. Great song !
Hab damals so kleine Phosphor-Punkte an meine Decke geklebt, und diese Musik dazu gehört, bekifft, das war großartig...
I love too
@@DeclanBurger this track is from 1976
Fantastic..I still love it as much as I did back then 🤗
Great to hear this, after 45 years of listening to the "Master"...
