I know that RX-8s aren't straight line cars, but a bone stock 6speed standard rx8 should be able to hit 14.5 in a 1/4 mile (especially a JDM spec RX-8) so i'm wondering if the HKS turbo setup made it slower somehow. They're great for handling and drifting if you have a decent suspension and proper tune, but if straight lines are your thing then the RX-8 isn't the right car for you
+Nate Rist Yeah this doesn't seem right because the standard car will do those 0-60 figures so with a turbo it should be much faster.
I just thought of this, but it's very possible that it could have a 4-port engine instead of a 6-port which would make alot more sense
@@NateRist it's definitely a 6 port Manuel.
my thought would be a combination of low compression and bad drag due to the body kit, but i definitely could be wrong

Buy one thats already had an engine rebuild, learn how to properly take care of a rotary and you’re good
Taking care of an RX-8 is different from a normal car but once you understand them, they’re amazing drivers cars
