Great advice, IEVA! Can you please share some thoughts on what to write on your profile to attract guys who are looking for a long term relationship?" Most of the time when I ask guys what they are looking for, they would say they want to date and see how it goes... I am not sure this is what i want to hear. If I put " looking for a meaningful relationship that might lead to long term", will i scare men away? What is the better way to put it? Thank you!
I hear you and I know it can be frustrating because it almost feels like you're wasting your time. Always remember to have an element of playfulness in your profile if you don't want to come across as negative or scare your matches away.
There are certain apps that allow you to filter profiles based on what you/they're looking for (casual, relationship, marriage). Bumble is quite good for that.
There are dating platforms specifically designed for those that are only looking for marriage.

@@peicchung6893 I think it's so good you felt you can open up to this person even though you did not know him for too long. It's tricky with love. You have to take risks and very often the outcome is out of your control.
And it always hurts when someone rejects you. It's important to allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling before moving on to meeting someone else.

I liked the way he "made me feel", more than how much i like HIM as a person. Sounds selfish now when i think about it. Sorry, i had to delete my previous story. I don't feel safe put it out here. I think using any filter in a dating profile is stupid. in some cases you are lying to people from the start by filtering your looks right away. Those dog filters women use as in their main picture is annoying and stupid. They are covering up how they look,.I tend to swip left on those, I see it as they are dishonest from the start. None of my pictures have a single filter. When I show up for a date I look exactly how I look in my profile.
Great point. I guess, everyone is trying to put their best forward and for some it means slapping a dog filter on their face. There is casual photos which is fine. Then there is hiding your face so potential matches can't see you face. It is like some women I see their main photos with a pet held in front of them, so you only see part of their face. It is kind of a way of Catfishing someone by making yourself look different then you actually do. I get the taking a good picture at a good angle, and that is fine. Stuff like that with good hair, nice clothes and makeup to make you look your best. But putting a filter on is plane trying to deceive someone else.

@@IEVAKambarovaite yes I have seen that for men an women. I personally don't see the point. Unless all you want is to chat with people online and never meet in person. Honestly if you put up pics that are 10 years old, if you meet in person the other person is going to know. Once again you are starting the relationship off on a lie. It is stupid and ridiculous. I have seen women put up they are 18 and I am like "really? With all those wrinkles on your face?" 😄
