I almost passed by your brilliant tutorial because I thought it was too long. How wrong I was. Not a shot or a word was superfluous. Quite possibly the most helpful tutorial I've ever watched. Thank you so very much. iMovie/Apple should put you on the payroll if you're not already.
Just what I wanted! I use iMovie on my laptop but had never even considered using my iPad. Unlike many tutorials, yours is calm, concise and very clear. Thanks!
You just made my day! Combing through so many vids, very few focus on iPad and even fewer are as easy to follow as yours. Best tutorial I’ve seen, thank you!
I’m doing something with iMovie for a school project and it requires me to watch tutorials. I thought I knew everything about iMovie but after watching this I learned so much more. Definitely subscribing!
I, too, almost passed on your tutorial because of the length, but an inner voice said: "watch it!" I'm glad I paid attention, to both my inner voice and your fantastic video! Thank you.
I have been using UA-cam for years and have never come across a better tutorial, this was brilliant. Clear and concise, well structured and very informative. Thank you for your efforts.
This has been the most useful tutorial I have seen. I really appreciated the way you spoke a a slower pace to allow me to follow along easily. Most tutorials I’ve seen have the speaker going at the speed of light. That is not conducive to learning. Thanks so much for the quality of your video
On holiday in Barbados only an iPad to hand and needed to do some editing without my Mac. What a first class tutorial, absolutely all I needed to know in one hit. What a blessing!
Thank you so much. I’ve been lost in iMovie for months. Other tutorials just touch the surface but you tutorials explain the details. It takes out most of the frustration in learning iMovie. Also I had no idea that iMovie was so powerful. I will subscribe to your channel. Kent / Montana
Thank you soooo much! I was at a loss trying to make videos on imovie for my students (we are in complete Lockdown in New Zealand). This was sooo easy to understand and follow along with! Thank you.
@@KeyZCubeJunior oh yes i don’t know how to do that but I would suggest type what you want on a green screen background where you want the text and then add it as a green screen for as long as you want it to
Super tutorial!!! Thank you. After watching this tutorial, I went from not having the app, to putting together an eight and a half minute end product (took nearly three working days' time over a week) of various colleagues' clips. Twenty six separate clips; with three separate backing tracks; detaching sound from the clip so that it could continue while another clip was playing; splitting one clip so that it could be rearranged for a link; fading sound in and out; slowing and speeding the clips... Got an "Outstanding" from my manager, which I attribute to Bit By Byte. Thank you.
Thanks for this no-nonsense, clear tutorial. I've been using iMovie for a month, and your tutorial showed me additional tools and features. I really appreciate it.
I was going to use the Videoshop app over the IMovie app cuz it was pretty simple but with less features. But I just saw your video and it made the iMovie app less stressful to use. Thanks for the well detailed video tutorial. I want to make a video on my printing services I will be offering with my photography shoots. And this app is going to make it look amazing I can’t wait.
Got a Tip: I used the "Expedition" trailer to produce a video highlighting my lawn mowing business. In the storyboard there are a set of 2 sets of three (photo/video) placements with a single placement below it, then a three placement below that. I wanted all 3 Three placements together, but you can not rearrange these that I can find. So, I saved the trailer video then imported it back into iMovie Create a Project. Detached the audio. Made splits in the appropriate places and rearranged the clips to my liking. Tip 2: Below was a question "Can you save a trailer as a project"? Import the saved trailer video into iMovie create project. Say you want just the Intro and credits and add new photo/video in between. Same process; split where desired, toss what is not needed and import/insert new footage. Split/trim/fade the trailer music to the length of your Intro/Credits to maintain the artistry of the trailer or delete and use other sources for audio. Your choice.
Excellent tutorial, good pacing, clear dialog, clear graphics - especially appreciate that you didn't insert yourself into the video :) Clearly, you don't suffer from the narcissism of most UA-cam "tutors". BTW, I stumbled upon one correction: to limit the duration of a TITLE you don't have to split a clip, you can simply uncheck the "Entire Clip" checkbox.
A thousand thanks, I felt so lost when i opened Imovie to edit videos. Now its a breeze. I had to watch and pause your videos about 3-4 times cause im a slow learner :)
Many thanks for this excellent tutorial. Perfectly laid out and timed delivery. Im not a natural at this by any means and you’ve really helped me start to get my head around this whole subject , Im now enthused and not baffled like I was before I came across your video! Cheers!
Rarely do I comment, and rarely do I find a tutorial truly beneficial. This is literally one of the best tutorials I’ve ever watched. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I've been looking for a tutorial about this app for a long time because I'm looking to upgrade my UA-cam channel. I'm currently using my phone which is an android but I'm thinking about buying an ipad. This video has really brought a lot of information to light for me. Thank you so much for keeping it simple.
I need to edit some of my yoga videos, but I was afraid to even start using iMovie. Your tutorial is very easy to follow, clear and precise, now I am no longer afraid. Thank you so much for producing this video!
Thanks man! because of u i got to learn how to edit a video and i have been in trouble finding how to rotate a vid but then this video came along thanks a lot! I liked and subed
Thanks. This is a terrific overview of iMovie for iPad. If you have a Mac, you can also transfer your project from the iPad into iMovie on your Mac for final edits (iMovie for Mac has a few additional features especially for sizing photos).
Brilliant tutorial Buzzkeil - I just need to make a very basic vid to include some jpegs, a small number of videos, and some Christmas music as backing, 1 to 3 mins duration any extra advice is very welcome. Thanks, Tom.
Very nice. As I was watching, I asked aloud “But does it do speed ramping?” and you immediately answered my question. Then I asked about audio fade...and you answered it. Last, I sighed because there was no multi-track editing...and you immediately explained how to edit two video tracks. Dang it man, you’re reading my mind.
That was really awesome!! It’s definitely helped me to understand what I’m doing(especially since it’s my first time learning how to edit video). I look forward to watching Part 2 after I cook dinner. Thank you for making this!!! You’re the best!
Very informative video. My only suggestion is if you can highlight the area you are describing in your dialogue. For example you were saying 5 Icons but I find myself looking all over the screen to find the 5 icons you were speaking of. Other than that, very good video and Thank you!
I’ve been trying to figure out how to add videos/photos on already playing videos or photos, and it was covered! I’ve used IMovie a lot on iPad but this vid showed me a LOT of new and cool stuff. Thank you!! Great effort in the video!!
Everything from 13th Minute onwards was mostly new to me. Thank you! Some options have been updated and so they are either named differently or instead of icons they appear as text. Thanks for the video.
Fantastic video. Even the slider has the categories. Thanks so much for this video! I’ve had iMovie for years and never bothered with it. Not anymore 👍
