Damn, Vivian still kicks ass and he always will. In my option, his greatest solo and the greatest in metal history was the one for Rainbow in the Dark.
@@troopermeismeis5473 wow! Must have been awesome🤘🏻got to see Queensryche open for Metallica’s damage justice tour! It was queensryche operation mind crime era🔥epic!
I got to see the Holy Diver tour and The Last in Line tour. Both were incredible! Viv was an amazing Metal player. I was a little shocked when he took the DL gig just because I didn’t feel like their music fit his style. Don’t get me wrong he fits in well with DL. It’s nice to see him really show his Metal side again here.
Def Leppard is probably a great paying gig, but Vivian's heart is right here. Saw him in '83, crowd of about 300 people. No one had a clue about Dio yet.
And except Jimmy Bain because he passed away 8 years ago. The band originally was Dio's first band... Vivian, Jimmy, and Vinny. Phil playing bass is a perfect fit to have taken Jimmy's place.
When will Dio be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Dio had an amazing voice range. These guys did a great job doing this cover .You never hear it played much.
Despite their well publicised differences it's nice to see Vivian honouring his and Ronnie's legacy. As we approach the 14th anniversary of his passing, I would love to think they could've patched things up if Ronnie had lived. Great to see Vinnie playing too (although what's with the double time parts?). Is it the guy making the recording hitting " HHOOOOOMMMMEE!!!!" at the start ? Great job 👏 , will be watching "Dreamers Never Die " this weekend wearing my Last In Line t-shirt and denim cut off with Holy Diver patch. Thanks for posting 👍
Vivian is so superior to almost every other guitarist from that era. In 2024 he's lightyears ahead of Lynch, etc. And Phil Collen should be Vivian's roadie.
The first two Dio albums with the original band are the only ones anyone cares about . Too bad they were screwed over . Imagine what else they would've come up with .
Vivian is the man. One of my top 5 guitar hero's. Still playing AMAZING at 61. It may be sacrilege, but I always thought Vivian's playing was far above his tone on the Dio albums. A tiny bit thin for me and His solo's should have been a touch louder in the mix.
I'm glad that after hiding out in Def Leppard for 20 years playing sugar pop garbage for the big bucks Viv seems to be getting back on track. He had one of the most unique sounds of the era and was definately involved in some epic songs.
The Leppard ,guys were awesome for giving him a paying gig while he recovered from Hodgkins. When I saw them he only played minor solos which is possibly because he was weakened from the treatments.
Saw this Tour back in the 80's. Life changing. & to think he Wrote/Performed that stuff as a Teen. Why do They All get back$$$tabbed? Just like Dave Megastain, OZZ & how many more- Blame it on the MNGR. DAMN
Because his work on the first two Dio albums made them more memorable and classic than all the other Dio albums. Besides everyone knows Ronnie was the greatest hard rock singer ever! Common knowledge.
It is Vivian and Vinny! Originally started with the original Dio band (incl. Jimmy Bain) to play tribute to Ronnie and the music they created in 83/84.
@@adamhe67 Yeah ...I did realize they were the real deal after a few minutes - I'm 62 yrs old & a bit behind the times. Dio Rocks \m/...cheers from Australia.
Vivian also talked a lot of negative stuff for years about Ronnie then he passes and he starts this band. Yes they sound great but I just have a bad taste in my mouth about how he treated Ronnie for so long then does this. Maybe make a public apology or something. A death makes people see thing much clearer and I understand that. If he has made a statement I have not heard of it being made and I just have issue with this band making money off a legend that he supposedly hated. Just my feeling toward this.
I wrote that because this band is Last in Line and not Dio. Yes, 2 of the same members, but technically a different band. Jack Blades helped write Coming of Age and Higher but when he performs those songs with Night Ranger, they're Damn Yankees covers.
I am so grateful my teenage years were spent rocking to DIO, might be the last in line, defiantly the BEST in line!! RIP Ronnie!!
I’m so great full for growing up in the Dio years. God bless Vivian.
Damn, Vivian still kicks ass and he always will. In my option, his greatest solo and the greatest in metal history was the one for Rainbow in the Dark.
Ronnie's songs, whether it is Rainbow, BS, or Dio, never get old, IMO. I can listen to Last in Line and never tire of it.
Ronnie's songs lmao 🤣 GTFO he ripped everyone off get a grip
Vivian is able to let loose and it’s so refreshing to hear
That was EPIC !!! Good to hear the classics still done so well….an 80’s time machine !!! Man I miss those years !!!!😁🎸🤘🎶
Got to see Vivian with Dio on the Holy Diver Tour🤘🏻Shredder🔥🔥🔥
Same here dude! Back in 85 at the great Western Forum in Los Angeles! Good old days.

Vivian Campbell killing it as usual
vivian is incredible ,,I saw this front row in early 80,s ,this gave me real flashbacks,,I remember leaving the show stunned..like wow,
I mean that solo! Epic!
I mean its Vivian Campbell
Vivian knocked that solo out of the park. I was disappointed that the crowd did not all bow to him when it was complete!!!!
Welcome back Vivian,,if only for the moment
beautiful comment

Delivering the DIO power easily!! Vivian still "burns with feel"
Best solo ever for me
This song was love at first listen waaaay back and is still my fave Dio song.
This band is firing 🔥 on all cylinders !! 🎸🔥🔥
✌️💜
Sound great. Love seeing the early stuff raw. Ya’ll can bring it. This is what LIVE should look like today ;)
Vivian was definitely one the guitar heroes of the 80s
Wow! Fantastic!👏👏👏👏🤙🏽😊❤️
Def Leppard is probably a great paying gig, but Vivian's heart is right here. Saw him in '83, crowd of about 300 people. No one had a clue about Dio yet.
THAT must have been AMAZING...🤘🤘
Vivian is so awesome!
🤯🔥🤘
Fantástic
Great band
Very good
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yesss!! That's Vivian Campbell this is the original line up who recorded the album the last in line except Ronnie James Dio he's in heaven!!!!
And except Jimmy Bain because he passed away 8 years ago. The band originally was Dio's first band... Vivian, Jimmy, and Vinny. Phil playing bass is a perfect fit to have taken Jimmy's place.
Perfect!
Singer does it so well!
Timeless
May the spirit, the legacy and inspiration of Dio *LIVE IN!*
"we are the strongest people on earth, we are... the last in line" R.J. Dio. rip
Andrew has an amazing voice!!!
Great work hey man’s! You have the Best singer🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Bruce Springsteen finally in a band that doesn't suck. 🤘🏼
What in the hell are you talking about?
🤟
Vivian rules!! Metal icon! A true 80's titan!!
Vinny Best Drummer . I wonder do they play Heaven & Hell Band ?
Vincenzo still looks the same !! One of the best drummers along with Carmine his fratello !
Vinny Appice is a beast!
I saw these guys play at the Token Lounge in Westland, Michigan a few years back, they absolutely rocked the place!!
Everyone singing "HOME" had a little bit of Ronnie in each and every one of them.
When will Dio be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Dio had an amazing voice range. These guys did a great job doing this cover .You never hear it played much.
When heaven and hell freezes over...l
excellent all the way around!!
Dio and Megadeth ...one hell of a concert ( Norman , Oklahoma ) Glass Spiders and SO Far ...SO what tour . PK
Fuck Yes!!!! That was Bad Ass!!!!
Unbelievable!! Rocked it with no whammy bar!🎸
Freeman rules, pure power!!
Crazy remember seeing him with Whitesnake

Excellent! Puissant... 😉
Andrew, You know how we rock in North Dakota....Bring it here...!
Excellent 🤘😁🤘
Viv is playing great here!
Nicely done!
Definitely the best era of music.
Vivian Campbell the Gary Moore disciple that he is very underated.
Fantastic!
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻DIO🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Very cool, gained a subscriber.
Welcome aboard!
Well done! I didn't dig Freeman's voice at first but he's settled in nicely, his great performance here does the song justice!
Good to see Vivian playing real solos!🤘
Вивиан Кампбэл конечно бесподобен Все таки лучшие альбомы Великого Дио записаны с ним и стали классикой
Vivian loves this more than the pop music in Def Leppard!!
Vinnie Appice cool.
Vivian is so superior to almost every other guitarist from that era. In 2024 he's lightyears ahead of Lynch, etc. And Phil Collen should be Vivian's roadie.
Easy man Lynch is 69 years old, 8 years older than Campbell. I’m a Lynch guy but VC can definitely play. I 💯 agree about the Collen comment.
lol
His guitar tone is sick on this!!
Wooooooh!!!! F'n Vivian still got it!
Vivian is a sharper guitarist now than he was in the 80’s. Wow! Singer is amazing but imagine if Ronnie and Jimmy were still around ?
Yes way more mature. His sound and vibrato is much better now then"in the old days".
The first two Dio albums with the original band are the only ones anyone cares about . Too bad they were screwed over . Imagine what else they would've come up with .
The room ambiance is like the old Philadelphia Spectum.
The singer has an excellent voice!
I think Ronnie wouldn't mind knowing these cats are playing. Vivian was such a star when this came out.
🤘
The VIVIAN era is BY FAR the BEST...BUT...DOUG ALDRICH is equally AMAZING...two EXTREMELY talented Dudes ...

Damn, the singer has Chops, I’m a little disappointed though he didn’t hit the opening scream.
Why are all the comments about Vivian? Who got him noticed???
Because his work on the first two Dio albums made them more memorable and classic than all the other Dio albums. Besides everyone knows Ronnie was the greatest hard rock singer ever! Common knowledge.
Well fucking done🤘😝🤘
Who the heck is that singer? He killed it!
Andrew Freeman is his name.
And here was I thinking...cover band...damn those guy's look like Viv & Vinnie!
Dio Rocks \m/...cheers from Australia.
ronnie had ALOT of anger towards Viv when he joined Lep
Well deserved. For Vivian it was a downgrade playing wise, was like working as a CEO at fortune 500 company and then being demoted to manager.
Vivian also talked a lot of negative stuff for years about Ronnie then he passes and he starts this band. Yes they sound great but I just have a bad taste in my mouth about how he treated Ronnie for so long then does this. Maybe make a public apology or something. If he has made a statement I have not heard of it being made and I just have issue with this band making money off a legend that he supposedly hated. Just my feeling toward this.
How is this a cover when the guy that wrote and recorded it is performing it?
I wrote that because this band is Last in Line and not Dio. Yes, 2 of the same members, but technically a different band. Jack Blades helped write Coming of Age and Higher but when he performs those songs with Night Ranger, they're Damn Yankees covers.
Was this before or after the singer berated us for not standing up to shout during "Stand Up and Shout"?
Fabulous singer and Vivian Campbell (sadly) wasting his talent in Def Leppard...
Pays the bills
Viv still ripping it up. Long live RJD
Vivian..... I am a big fan since the early 80,s
Vivian.... I don't like your work in Def Leppard.
All your work with DIO was superb.
Is that Bob Daisley on bass?
Nope. Phil Soussan
@@adamhe67 Right. Cheers.
Ripper Owen’s is such a better singer and sounds more like Dio!
But if you want the absolute best Dio cover singer it’s Dino Jelusick!
i miss Jimmy Bain
That guy plays guitar well enough to make a few hundred a week.
Who is actually singing at 0:52 - 0:57 ?
class
Viv doesn't have that Pyromania 40 money coming in, so he's got to moonlight.
Is it really a cover if Campbell is playing it
No ...he's the original .I don't get why they call it a cover
@@JohnLarsen-p6e that was my thinking
I remember Vivian making fun of this music as stupid after he quit Dio. Goddamn he must have hated Dio.
I thought that was Springsteen in the thumbnail. LOL
P.S. Rainbow не в счет
Cover? There are more original Dio members in this lineup than Foreigner has.
