Simple, stylish, straight to the point, and cool looking. Extra points for the thumbnail alone!
You said about having to press 9 to put on a Spy disguise. There's an option in the advanced settings for Spy that turns on a 'concise Disguise Kit' of sorts. You have to press a number twice but you only need to press 1, 2 or 3, which imo is much better than having to reach all the way over to 9.
I have heard of this, but have yet to try it out yet! Tbh I don't know why I was complaining cus I have a mouse5 bind to disguise as Spy - it's just too loud and clicky for me to use on camera.
Finally, my favorite knife. I just find it, style wise, that it's just unlike Spy to aggressively go up to backstab people in broad daylight while absorbing their lifeforce with the kunai. Systematically getting stabs while changing up his disguises is more his speed, personally

There's actually a bit in options I like to use where it puts the disguises into 3 groups of 3, and you press the number of the group you want first, followed by the position in the group. For example, for Spy you'd pick 3, and then 3 again. It's nice because it lets ya get to disguises quicker once your used to it

The original eternal with cloak and dagger was disgustingly fun. You could disguise without losing cloak, there was no killfeed update on kills, and the cloak and dagger gave you something like 30% damage reduction with slight cloak meter reduction. It was just so much fun. I wasn’t surprised that they needed the hell out of it.
I have to say I really dig the thumbnails and especially your profile picture. Spy gameplay isn’t really my thing anymore except when I’m trying to sleep but it’s refreshing to see some that isn’t drowned in anime or over 5 years old
As a C&D main, right around 1:19 instinctively triggered the part of my brain that says "stop moving and recharge my cloak". I have the movement time etched into my muscle memory, and it hurts to watch spy clips sometimes.
Its concept is amazing, but in practice, its kind of like gaining the power of invisibility but only after permanently severing both your legs. And I do not blame you, Badwater Basin is so entertaining.
To fix a broken disguise, press B to switch the disguises weapon to the weapon you're currently holding. If they're a demoknight, this should resolve the issue
The issue with glitches disguises can be fixed in multiple cases by hitting the "b" key while holding a weapon that the disguise does not have equipped. For instance, a demoknight disguise that is holding the flamethrower can be fixed by switching to your knife and pressing b. Changes it to the melee. However, the fix will only work if the target has a weapon of a proper slot equipped. Ex: trying to fix the before mentioned bug with demoknight holding a flamethrower can't be fixed while holding your revolver and pressing b as the demoknight does not have a grenade launcher equipped. Hopefully, this information is useful the next time ur disguise bugs out
The YER is my favorite spy knife due to the fact that you don't have to cloak away after every backstab and that it feels amazing when you trick someone with it.
2:07 hot tip: you Can fix weapon glitches by pressing “m” to change YOUR weapon! Or whatever button you Press to change YOUR weapon to the one you are currently Holding!
I love using the diamondback, yeah the tight cloak meter is a problem, but the disguise on stab is the perfect opportunity to quickly use the crit from the DB if they spot you, it's fun to be able to get away with a kill on one who is suspicious instead of an entire team turning around before i can get to shoot
I'm enjoying this video as a noob spy! You don't cut off your bad butterknives, and I don't feel too bad that even a good spy ends up butterknifing sometimes. I'm learning spots to decloak! Turns out people might not have as good ears as they think if they're looking at the enemy team.
One way to make this weapon even better is if you use an undisguise keybind: bind "6" "ud" alias ud "disguise 8 -2" This allows you to instantly undisguise, even under cloak

idk if you found out or not but at 8:38 the scouts voice is low probably because of a halloween spell that makes it deeper which can be put on hats and stuff. Also i like the sort of rawness of your gameplay.
As the friendliest spy this is real. I like screaming "MEDIC" at people and then turning into a medic. I also wait for the day someone says "that spy is a bloody MEEEDIIIC" and I disguise as medic

the lessening of no manual disguise to needing your cloak meter to disguise was good, but i have no idea why they thought it needed a cloak drain penalty on top of that, makes the le'tranger basically a requirement
Yeah. I think universally everyone thought the knife was underpowered but very cool in concept, so I don't know why they effectively gave it two extra downsides. Like, all of your cloak at once is a big deal, a versatility buff at a cost. Very cool. Passive cloak penalty on a stabby knife? Good god no. I'd rather the 25 less health from the big earner holy shit lmao
Currently with full cloak you can disguise and it uses all your cloak and if you get a backstab you disguise and silent kill them. If you're 99/100 cloak it won't disguise which is why it can feel iffy
Apparently there was an item swap exploit where you could switch to the YER while disguised(and have the disguise kit). Since they couldn't patch it out they just made it a feature so the exploit wouldn't come back(and if you know the source spaghetti, it will always comeback stronger if you try to fix it). I honestly feel the YER change was good because now it gives you options, and the Cloak n Dagger has a bigger niche now with this knife.
You said that you have to reach 9 to disguise as a spy, but there is a option on the "advanced options" than to turn on the "minimalist disguise menu". With this you can just press 3 twice to disguise as spy. It is very handy because you don't have to reach further than 3
As much hate as the YER gets it teaches spies to shoot someone and better cloak usage. Being able to take out people in Sentry range is another huge benefit for the easiest Engi picks. A good Engi won't be next to their sentry for the most part meaning you can counter good Engi players. Disguise early then use your cloak after. When you play smart YER will be a straight upgrade and encourage you to do more then stab.
So much insight in this video! You should make a more in-depth video about this weapon. No need to go overboard though, just give a simple rundown maybe?
Hey if you haven't found out, or if you're experiencing a glitch I never have, you should be able to disguse when your cloak ammo is full. It consumes all of it when you do it Manually
this knife is underrated as hell mann, i tried using the most aggresive, went no disguise strategy and got 10 backstabs in one game using this knife (i'm not a spy main yet)

i have tried that multiple times but i hate it personally, I'd much rather press 1 button than 2 and i can reach just fine

I literally used to NEVER play spy but he's been my pocket pick recently. Its incredible how few people listen to de-cloaks 3 feet away from them.

I used the YER when it gave you extra cloak in your meter instead of draining it faster.
Made sitting in corners much more accessible.
If you don’t like reaching all the way to 9 in advanced options down where it’s class specific you can turn on the quick change version
