Just to point out that the loose plywood shelf becomes a missile if involved in an accident. I know from experience when everything loose in the luggage compartment ended up in the front of my car when I had a bad accident and rolled the car. Just be mindful of what's stored and if it's safe.
Agree, looks Great but is a pretty big danger of being a deadly missile… you have gained zero room actually lost space.. who would put stuff on top of this heavy structure
*on my subaru i took out the covering shade use hardboard tempered panel like those pegboards but without the holes. made two pieces, the third piece was the one that connected them amd two pieces of conduit* *BUT I LIKE YOURS BETTER THAN MINE*
I have 2 dogs, so the older girl has her dog bed and the other girl has her kennel. The bed’s bolster keeps grocery bags stationary and the kennel has a secure door. Easy peasy.
Most of the car shelves are just a cover to keep prying eyes away. They will fail under any significant load. They are often hideously expensive to replace.
Keeping sunscreen and antibacterial hand sanitizer in a hot car is a bad idea as the heat of the summer will diminish the effectiveness of sunscreen and antibacterial sanitizer.

Saving this for my next vehicle that doesn't have a cargo privacy cover. Thank you VERY MUCH for sharing this idea!
Great idea. I would tie the item on the parcel shelf down so it doesn’t become a flying missile in an emergency brake stop.

I LOVE this guy and all the cool creations he makes!
Nice job on the trunk shelf. But, paint the legs black. 3:06
Don't use soap on upholstery unless you're able to rinse it off. It will attract more dirt.
Great idea for space.

Isn't that what the shelf that comes with the car is for.

Wife’s car didn’t even have a shelf
That is amazing would love to try that to
Also it will make your driving engine noise quieter.
Lots of cool, but don't dump that much soap in the storm water system [the de-icing one].

They make lightweight totes to fit in the back
Or you can just push the back seats forward to give extra space....
Neat!😎👍
