Time Machines | Transmissions from a world without sleep

The installation Time Machines is an exploration of the liminal zone between dream and hallucination and between photography, sound and video.
The title of this work is inspired by listening to the album Time Machines by post-industrial band Coil. This record is an attempt to create a hypnotic state through music that echoes the effects of psychedelic drugs. The listener slips into a trance and loses track of time. Cameras and smartphones are also tools that can create a sense of disruption of time. A photograph is a time machine.
