had a pair of gritex outdoors for almost 10 years until the rubber underneath broke in half, they were the best outdoor shoes I ever had.

Grisport. All I put on my feet when walking. I have Keepers but have switched to Rangers which are the kind of 'sister boot' to the Keeper because of the slightly more kicked up toe protection and the greater padded area at the calf. One thing that has always impressed me since the day I first put on a pair of Grisport Quattros, is the level of grip from the vibram sole. It wasn't expecting so much grip from the boot and it takes a lot to overwhelm them and induce a slip or slide when I'm out hiking. Loved your review and I would like to share it on the Hiking Britain Facebook group with your permission.

Please do! I've been using a pair of Oaks for a year or so now and they're also holding up well.

On my second pair of rangers and they are brilliant, cool in summer and really toasty in winter. Prior I would be spending double or more on the big name boots but not anymore, I’ll be wearing rangers as long they will be making them. Why pay more!

Great boots. Wish there weren’t so bloody wide, though.
