I recently bought them and today was their first use in boggy rocky, Heather Mountain ground here in Ireland. My foot sank deep a few times and I came home with dry feet. The bigger exposed wet rocks in the ground had me like bambi at times. They are comfy straight out of the box and are going to be a brilliant boot in the forests for camping.
Iam using Grisport footwear of anykind, sport shoes, boots, shoes, trakking boots, in the last 20years i didnt have one of them to get broken or was poorly made... I use them untill i consume the sole or the inside. I make around 500 to 600km per year trekking or nature walking... Never had blisters or back pain or problems with my knees with those. Highlly recommended brend, made to last, with quality materials, not a scam product
Boots getting wet and review comments. Agree and read this so often. Like you I think it may well be down to water getting in over the top or from clothing or from sweat and condensation. I've had boots that I suspected of leaking, so put them through vigorous testing; walking through inches of water in the bath, pouring water from the tap over the toe area, walking through streets and low cut grass for a couple of hours in very heavy rain.My conclusion has been that the boots are very definitely waterproof and keep my feet dry. Current boots that I have put through this test: Scarpa Ranger and Berghaus Baltra. Both I suspected of leaking, but both highly satisfactory when put through my tests.
This is the second review I've watched from your channel and I just wanted to day "well done!" So many supposed review videos are basically a run-down of the basic features from a person who's owned the item for about an hour.
Grisports produce superb boots. If you're wanting boots similar to the Keeper but PPE compliant look at the Grisport Boulder. I've had a pair I use in a beach environment most days for 6 years. They are still waterproof even though I've worn through the vibram sole at the heel. Worth every penny of your hard earned
Just bought a pair online for £125 with a free pair of merino socks so looking forward to trying them, had a pair of grisport decoy boots which have been excellent and still going strong after two years, far better than a pair of aigle and le chemeux muflon boots which didn't last two years before leaking, good video by the way.
Been looking at this brand recently as wel priced but are they actually waterproof? Lot of reviews on amazon complain that they cause blisters on heel and mixed reviews about waterproofness.
@@anonymous4201 Every pair I have used have been - up until there was some structural failure or tear many miles of use later. I have seen similar comments about all waterproof boots - I do wonder how often it's because water is coming through the top (i.e. down the leg) OR that it's sweat building up as the breathable liner cannot breathe due to the leather wetting out. The river scenes in the video were filmed to show that the test pair are as waterproof as I would want them to be.
Original Outdoors thanks, the the video is impressive and yes there are mixed reviews about waterproofness on all boots. Guess it’s a gamble. These boots look good but too big for my needs. Ivan you recommend a good trekking / hiking boot that’s waterproof? Thanks
Thanks. Looking for a light boot as I have serious foot issues. A friend has suggested Grisport as I have very wide feet. Any suggestions.? Looking at their website the closest is the Aztec crazy horse. Have you used them? The only other boot which fitted me were Meindl comfort fit but find them heavy.
Hi. I’m interested in a pair of the Decoy boots. What’s the sizing like please? My feet are sort of in between 9 and 9 and 1/2. Is it best for me to go for a 10? All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
Hi off the back of this video I decided to get a pair of Grisport boots for my wife. We do a good amount of walking and each morning we do a 3 mile morning wake up walk :). She has gone through of cheaper non leather boots in the past and I thought these could be a step up for her. Unfortunately after about the 3rd or 4th use she found the soles of her feet damp/wet after a walk, yes the grass we walked through was wet, but we didn’t expect the soles of her feet to be wet, yes may be ankles. So first experience with these shoes not as good as it could have been. FYI the boot model were the Grisport Hurricane.
www.military1st.co.uk/k05016-03-pentagon-vorras-climbing-pants-coyote.html - I've had them on long-term trial. They're showing signs of wear after a couple of years, but still functional.
Altberg Warrior 2 aqua's or Hanwag Trapper gtx Top are a much finer boots. Scarpa also an Italian outdoor boot manufacturer make excellent boots. Sorry to disagree, I think boots are an individual item anyway. Great video though.👍🏼
Sound advice and you are right those boots you mentioned are excellent, I have a pair of altbergs and they are great, but you have to remember, these grisports are half the price, literally half the price

This review pair are still going - I was wearing them in ankle-deep water and mud all weekend and had dry feet throughout.

Just to follow up on this - what did Grisport say when you returned them?
They have not been in contact, bought through Amazon, returned through their system, and no reply.
What are the trousers you are wearing in this video?
