@TheReal One - Yep! It was a major complaint for many, many years until it was fixed in SVR11. It's funny because the Xbox and Gamecube exclusive WWE games had the correct cell.
You have to be one of the best Wrestling Game channels out there. No clickbaiting like the other ones or boring 5 minute dialogue before showing what happens, just right to the point and honest about your content. I like that.
Lee Comber yeah, I do know that If I rememember correctly, there was a spot in a match with the Hardy Boyz vs Edge and Christian Vs The Dudley Boyz (pretty sure) where Jeff put himself through a table so Matt would not lose the match
Well to be honest, the whole point of a casket match is to put your opponent into the casket and close the lid. Sd 2 had that down . No rule saying you can’t pick up the casket and swing it around . I mean you would need super human strength to do that . But no rules says you can’t .
The announce table thing in DoR 2 is actually no big deal. I mean, it is a match where you put your opponent through a table to win. And it's called an "Announce TABLE", so.....
With the exception of the Raw 2 Royal Rumble stuff, these things were not errors and were more so limitations of the consoles (like with the smaller HIAC) and decisions made for ratings purposes (like with the buried alive match having a casket).
Jaguar Prune I think I can come up with two or three of them. SVR 2010 HBK RTWM I Quit Match Wwe 2k15 2k showcase mode Casket Match Wwe 13 Last Ride Match (there was a part where you had to put Undertaker in the back of a hearse so I’m counting it) Wwe 12 Jacob Cass RTWM that 6 Man Tag Hell in a Cell
The old days sucked. The games were not as featured, the graphics were poor, the fighting was worse, the gameplay was VERY limited, and overall the game mechanics and playstyle were EXTREMELY outdated and heavily limited by the limitations of those older systems. The newest games are objectively better in every way, from options, to features, to realism. Games like Smackdown 2 and No Mercy SUCK. Your rose-tinted nostalgia is blinding you to the fact that going back and playing those older games don't hold up anymore.
@@the-NightStar STFU, old games don't suck and we're are not blinded by nostalgia, we just loved our games so why don't you go back to your mediocre 2K games
A lot of childhood memories with these games. Started with smack down as a child in the late 90s and stopped with SDvRW2010. Recently started again and a lot has changed lol
ThisGenGaming but putting your opponent through an announce table is wrong? It's a TABLE in a TABLES MATCH so it obviously should count and 2k still does that so...
"Ladies and Gentleman, this is proof: Anything can happen in the world wrestling federation." This is literally the first thing you hear when you start Smackdown 2. They weren't going for realism. The wanted a game to be Over the top and Fun, just like how the "Real" WWF was on the attitude era: Over the top and Fun. Video games like this should be easy to play, so the players would enjoy them. Not a "Realistic simulation" which is so hard that takes all the fun out of a game.
I remember in one of the early Smackdown games, the ENTIRE purpose of a Table's Match was to put your opponent through the announce table...and that was it.
Undertaker: *Jams the sharp end of a shovel in HHH multiple times* Announcer: I don't even wanna begin to think what that feels likes Well I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that would feel like dead
It’s still fascinating to me that 2k15 had a casket match and 3 stages of hell match and 2k16 had a buried alive match on their showcase modes but not on exhibition
That one of the table is common now too. You can win by breaking announcers table, or just falling upon it. For example you jump over your opponent laying on a wood table and he can move away, if you break the table you loose, is quite common. As if you win by jumping over your opponent over the table, you can loose by falling after missing him into the jump
10:06 I kinda like how the cell is because you have so much more room to fight outside the ring also in 2k20 who thinks they should bring back a double cell mode
Fun Fact: WWE has a casket at the bottom of the hole in a buried alive match and they lock themselves in the casket at the bottom of the hole until the end of the show, then the staff will take the dirt off and help them out of the hole. That's why casket matches usually are in the main event of important pay-per-view. If its not done that way, they will have a separate compartment beside the bottom of the hole for them to crawl into until the end of the show.
The buried alive match from 16 was a showcase match that pretty much retold the actual buried alive match and was only offered for that showcase match.
Don't know about Smackdown 2, but they had two sections like Cage Matches, one had the actual way(Title) and then there's the other way, could be remembering wrong though
Battle Royal in Smackdown 2 was basically a fatal 4 way elimination match by pinfall or submission. Insteaf of eliminating your opponent from top rope.
I believe it's the SvR series, likely 07. But in a tables match you would LOSE if you put your opponent through a table with a counter. The game registered the move itself as your opponents, even though you were reversing

I am pretty sure that in a tables match you win if you put your opponent through ANY table, so the announcers table does count
Caio Prado but the opponent must be put through a table offensively not by self inflicted fault .
Lee Comber yeah, I do know that
If I rememember correctly, there was a spot in a match with the Hardy Boyz vs Edge and Christian Vs The Dudley Boyz (pretty sure) where Jeff put himself through a table so Matt would not lose the match
Lee Comber False, Sheamus won his first WWE championship by accidentally falling in 2010
Anthony Thomas that was in 2009, and it was Cena who slipped and fell through the table
And the time Big Show lost against Cody in a tables match

Michael Rivera And then they fixed it by getting rid of the casket match entirely and never bringing it back
It was great at the time. Those games were more arcade style anyway so they weren't going for accuracy.

what did the developers of smackdown 2 think when they made the player able to hold casket and another stuff like couches i bleave
I think they wanted more of an arcade style of game. They didn't want it to be super realistic like the modern WWE 2K games
you might be right

3dgforever01 It happened on Raw years ago not long after the brands were united (again).
At least I think it did, I could just have a faulty memory.

The announcer's table counts, it's just rarely used.
actually in tlc 2016 the commentators said that the announcer table qualifies going through a table
