The Undertaker & Mankind bump through the cell was “planned”, however it was not executed the way they intended. The roof was supposed to only give on one side of the panel, allowing mick to slide/roll off of it onto the mat somewhat slowly. However as we saw, the roof wasn’t constructed well enough this time around, and mick crashed straight through. They talk about this spot during their sit down together.

One thing the N64 games had that was so good was animations that were patterned after real life executions of them. The Ganso Bomb/Hangman's DDT was animated based on the real one, the Jeff Hardy ladder fall, etc. It made them look much more realistic and fluid than the ones that came after on PS2 and beyond

7:54 Honestly had no idea it was a botch. Also I wouldn't say recreated perfectly. The unbroken table was like above him, and here it fell right next to him.
I love HCTP, firmly part of my childhood. That RR story was awesome, I didn't even know it borrowed from real life until much later. The availability of storylines depends on many factors such as the Superstar rating, brand alignment, face/heel alignment and titles being held - I suspect that the RR story occurs when you are an up-and-comer (i.e. not a highly rated wrestler) without holding a [major] title.
The one with Big Show still puzzles me to this day as weeks towards No Way Out that year, he showed the video proof that he technically did win the Rumble. I do get why they booked it that way nowadays as a heel vs. heel WrestleMania main event would've been utter shit at least in my opinion. The fatal 4 way they did felt much better as it let Mick Foley main event event even if it just boiled down to a fatal 4 McMahon squabble with a major swerve.
Here's the thing about Foley's second fall: it was planned, but the plan went wrong. It's not a coincidence that in HIAC 2 the roof looked way less sturdy than in the first HIAC. The plan was for the panel to break in a way that would allow mich to roll inside the cell. It went horribly wrong.
Oh ffs, There were zip ties on the cell roof, Taker and Mankind are working all of you. The camera zoomed out also. Fall through the cell was definitely planned
Taker chokeslam was planned. They line up for it perfectly, mankind doesn't jump, he steps knowing full well he's going through so he doesn't over rotate (which he about did anyway)
@@Podgorski37no it doesn't both Taker and Mick said while the chockslam spot was planned they roof wasn't supposed to give away on the first one it was supposed to be multiple chokeslam
In WWE 12 Jacob Cass Story while Fighting Justin Gabriel you Casually do a Botch
This will be great for a WWE games botches video! As this one was focused on real life ones. There's a few to mention and could be a future video.
At 8:37 the announcers botched they said mick foley was attacking rock when it was triple attacking him lol lol
Never knew that botches actually were used in WWE video games
Man it really shows how much they care about the details and stuff to us very much appreciated 👍🏾
the 2k20 sin cara one is so funny
i really wish the game had ever come out
That barbed wire match still makes me sad. I remember really liking the match up until that ending
FINALLY SOMEONE POINTS OUT THE NO MERCY BOTCH
I didn't know that was a botch! I just thought they did that just to be extra about it. 😅
I always just considered it just being goofy after winning the match
After all these years I knew that No mercy ladder animation looked weird asf but I always loved the tumble after grabbing the briefcase/title
Me too. I liked it but thought why do they keep falling over. 😂
Then it clicked a few years ago finally.
This dude is assemble
He's one of the voices of the channel, yeah.
Assemble is a part of this channel?! I had no idea. Who else is a part of this?
@@miracle_ftw James (VikingSizeGamer) along with me.

Was just about to say this
also the chair fell on mick's head and broke his teeth
so thats what a botch is "when a planned action doesnt go according the plan"
U literally made all that up he’s said so many times he was never supposed to go thru 😂😂😂

...I mean, the game is called No Mercy, based off the 99 Ladder Match. Right?
Ostensibly it's tied in to No Mercy 2000

I swear my first Expoloding barbedwire match glitched, and i got the botched ending. Never really turned the game on after that.
You botched too, because it definitely wasn't back in late 2000s 😂
Unless they have Eddie yelling "Where the fuck was Vickie?!"...
0:30 no shit Sherlock😂
Sin Cara sounds like a minecraft zombie after the RR botch
Nash is going to mania.....uncle Jessie is right there!
I know it's been a minute, you doing voice over now
I've been doing voice overs since 2018
i loved No Mercy on the 64 such a classic
Sin Cara bouncing off the apron 😂😂
Makes me wish WWE Games would recreate the match moments again instead of cutting to the actual footage.
10:51 Not exactly a botch.
Oh I disagree there. 100% watch the real thing, it's pretty awkward. Definitely wasn't supposed to fall over.
