  • 'The History of SmackDown!' was a five part documentary that ran from July to November of 2017, covering both my personal journey growing up with the WWE franchise as well as the evolution of the games themselves. This full length, nearly 90 minute movie collects all five parts into one, delivering the entire 'History of SmackDown!' in one complete package. I hope you enjoy this trip down PlayStation and WWE's memory lane. Thank you for watching.

I love all your wrestling content videos and I love your Halloween videos as well that really awesome but to answer a question about the stats on at least on Smackdown too but you can do nothing about it on Smackdown one all you had to do was go through the ranking system and go about this two ways you can choose you could put the person in the ranking you want then go through take everybody else out and then put them all back in that was originally there save for the WWF title say Dlow Brown and actually make it to where he's the number one Contender for the WWF title or if Delo holds a championship you can challenge for that title don't matter which Championship it is you can do a title versus title match so there's two ways you can actually do that so yeah you can change the ranking system and SmackDown To Know Your Role I did it plenty of times one time I did it with Jeff Hardy which was awesome

I'm with you ONE MILLION percent on the belts. Every year when a new game came out, the very first thing I thought about and hoped for was "Man I really hope the champs come out wearing their titles when they come to the ring!" For some reason that was so unbelievably important to me. I went ape shit the first time they finally included them in the entrances

That ending was so bitter sweet. I can COMPLETELY relate and it really made me feel melancholy.
I was born in 1989, had such similar experiences as you described, and guess what, me and my one remaining wrestling buddy stopped playing the games with Smackdown vs Raw 2008. A terrible game.
We started our own WWF btb on here comes the pain, I booked Smackdown he booked Raw, we worked together to play out the matches as well as possible, recorded the events onto VHS, and carried this on until Smackdown vs Raw 2007. We had about 8 school books of full BTB hand written booking. We carried on with 2007 until probably 2013, when at 24 years old life really was too busy to carry it on.
I kept all the books, and I think back to those times with a smile and the formations of a tear. Thank you for the video.

I feel lucky to have experienced as a kid the nes to the snes and genesis, to the n64 and ps1, then the xbox and ps2, and my final console was the xbox 360. Best time in gaming history experiencing all the great games that came with the transition during a time when developers would take more risks and care about making a great game as opposed to prioritizing monetization we see now.

A number of fixes have been suggested including changing the position your PS2 is in (e.g. if it's standing up, lay it on its side and vice-versa), using a composite/SCART cable instead of component, putting folded tape on the top of the disc to weigh it down slightly, and fiddling with the PS2's laser to realign it, but honestly your best bet is buying a slimline PS2 instead (unless you want to risk fucking up your disc/PS2).

I’m not even a Wrestle-mania fan, but my god I don’t care. I’d support your content till the very end, plus love seeing how passionate you are on what you love. Plus I love seeing how nostalgic these old games were even if I didn’t originally experience these games myself. Awesome!

I really loved the music in Just Bring It. Usually I'm not a fan of electronic music, but I just thought it was awesome. Whenever I hear it, it fills me full of nostalgia and makes me remember good times.

As a Playstation kid myself, I feel your pain when it comes to wrestling games.
Also, WWE 2k20 is the first time in almost 20 years that Yukes hasn't developed the game. After watching this and seeing animations from the first Smack Down carry over into the current gen gamws, I'm kind of glad.

Dude it is INSANE that some of those animations were 15+ years old. Fucking insanity. And so, so few people realized it.

The WWF had a ring mat design for Wrestlemania XII. Beyond that, if they ever did it, it was few and far between. WCW did on a regular basis, however.

I might just buy a PS2 again just to play:
    - Here Comes The Pain
    - SvR 05
    - SvR 06
(Edit) - or get the PS2 Emulator and download the ROMs ;)

My favorite part about Smackdown was using the option to show the move names during the match and then re-naming your finisher so it showed the name on-screen. Nothing better than seeing my first create a wrestler Sticky Green execute his finisher "Bongs Away"

The story mode in Just Bring It was a lot more fun if you created your own wrestler. My cousin and I, would play story mode for hours, because you could add multiple created players in that mode. I was the WWF champion, and he was the Intercontinental champ.

In Smackdown 2, Matt Hardy and Dean Malenko had like a 9-month feud, complete with casket matches and Hell in a Cell matches every few weeks.

Man, I've never watched a UA-cam video over 30min up until now. It turned out I've spent countless hours with my friends playing SmackDown 2 back in the day.
