Old Yamaha VMAX 50O won’t start!

Ryan and his oldest son Jack get an 29 year old snowmobile running after sitting for 3 or 4 years.
This sled wouldn’t start the last 2 seasons and we decided we wanted to get it running. We took the approach of first checking compression, then for spark, and finally a cheaters approach to cleaning the carburetor.
This one had a broken coil ground and was giving intermittent spark.
Once we fixed they wire it started immediately.
We have 7 Yamaha VMAX snowmobiles and find they need very little maintenance. Just splash some gas and oil and they are good to go.
