Nice VMAX Zack.. i've got a black 94 vmax 600 ST here that came with a blown crank bearing. I Rebuilt the engine and clutch and she runs like a top. She is is raring to rip!. NeXT project for it will be replacing the skid with an SC-10 out of a 1999 Formula touring 380. I fugure, it will give it a bit of travel and get it off the ground. One of the stock rails was worn right though the hyfax and is slightly cracked, so I may as well make a project out of it. While I didn't record the engine rebuild ( lots of pics) I do plan on sharing the skid swap. I've personally never done one, so it will be a learning experience. I do know the VMAX tunnel is about 1" wider then the doo, so i'll need to put new mount points and have standoffs on it to take up the extra space.
It is not. Mine is a 96. It is a really nice trail sled but forget about the powder. They are not designed for it. They were not really designed for jumping either. They were made before the paradigm shift.
Not really, but I have two , a 95 and a 96 and I do get into some deep snow in the back hills where I ride . I just gun it, and if you need to turn carve hard but not too hard cause it’ll carve straight down lol

I’m looking at the same model for 700 always thought these Vmax were the best looking ones ever in red
Wish I could steer mine with 1 hand...mine is so hard to steer no idea why
How did you lift the rear of the other one? I have a vmax 500 I'd like to be able to put a bigger lug track on
i second this question how did you?
He put drobo brackets on the rear tunnel and dropped the mounting points on the rear skid 3 1/2"
i know the vmax is heavy but is it good in (slightly deep snow)?
