She’s suing for the cost of the cake and emotional distress. The defendants argue the plaintiff threatened to blow their building up.

That was pretty nice of the Sheridan Four Points to provide a detailed statement.
It wasn't about being nice, they kept themselves out of a legal dispute. If its not on the baker, its on the hotel that they cake wasn't on the table until two hours later.
The defendant has such a poor attitude about his failure to preform. What a jerk.
The cake man is a nasty piece of work. He didn't care about giving a good, quality product to the plantiff.
Their cakes looked like a child decorated them. Awful.
No accountability at all
And the defendant dude was a mess, smurking.
i wouldnt be surprised if they are out of business by now and closed down .
He should have just gave her money back asap…instead he agreed to go on national TV and embarrass himself AND his company?! Crazy ..
And look at his smirk….what a weirdo…
“..should have given …” 😊

@@Estiallina
It is not that serious.
That cake looked like foolishness lol!!
The good thing about going on national TV is you learn who NOT to do business with that. That cake and their service was despicable.
I don’t like how they tried to paint the plaintiff as violent and aggressive and accused her of sabotaging her cake and threatening them
Uh huh *major side eye*
You already know smh 🙄🙄🙄🙄
They really went all out and stopped every time! "We didn't do the flowers, it might've been their family", "We have a testimony from the hotel caterer saying it was you". "We didn't did ruin the frosting, they must've done it", "We have pictures showing how you did it", "Well, my fingers...".
She seemed incredibly calm and composed in the wedding video, not like someone freaking out.
Micro aggression they do it every time to black women
Yall i busted out laughing when she said the cake rack looked like something you put in your bathroom to hang towels on!!! 🤣🤣🤣
She was right!
@@katherinekaufman9856 yessssss 😂
The ladies behind the plaintiff cut up when they heard it too 😂😂😂
I know it did looked ridiculous
I used to have something similar hanging over my pantry door; nice for keeping things handy without cluttering up the kitchen counters. As a cake stand... uh, no.
All them cakes look a mess if you ask me 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
💀
The defendants should be ashamed of themselves
It looks like the defendants let their middle school kid make the plaintiff’s cake.
The 5 year old did it 😆
How is she “bridezilla “ when the cake was horrible? I think she should’ve been compensated for them ruining that part of their wedding.
He’s a jerk. He shouldn’t be in the service industry
And his sidekick too whoever she is to him. She’s just as bad as him😢
@@Browniegal41919 👍👍👍
he seems like he is one of those people who only does a good job for certain types of customers , people he thinks are upper class and upper income . he just saw the plaintiff as an average person in the general public and he probably sees himself as a business that caters mainly to the rich and influential .
Looked him up. His place is business closed down. 2 out of 3 reviews spoke something similar. Ppl ordered something for their wedding and he didn't provide the cakes. Or that they were rushed and sloppy .
He was very unapologetic and begrudgingly offered a partial refund. He's a piece of crap business man.
He still does cheesecake orders through Facebook from home. They are based in WI
Joe the Cheesecake Guy
Thank you for the facts.
I’m not a professional, but have decorated many cakes for different occasions/events. That cake is horrible looking!
They were trying to paint her as the angry, aggressive BW
Bingo
Yes they were! I hate that stereotype so much because when there is actually an issue and we’ve been taken advantage of it feels like we can’t stand up for ourselves 😤 especially at the nail shop! Which is why I use a local tech.
💯
Wow she looked beautiful at her wedding - her dress was gorgeous!
Imagine going into business thinking you don't have to learn how to do things properly. The bakery should not be in business
cake looks like someone put it together in like 5 minutes lol
Or a 5th grader
Im so sick of hearing that we are loud and aggressive when we are standing up for our RIGHTS! WTH is wrkng with people. I bet he wouldnt have left that💩 at a function for anyone else
ghetto.. act civilized.. Joe should be more selective in who he works with.. stay out of the hood.
I thought the same exact thing!
Well don't be so loud. If you hear it a lot there's a reason
@@nickcervenka8756 the man has officially entered the chat and once again shows ignorance at the OG comment om how women are treated and especially females of color.
Yup
Why are they doing bridal shows with very nice cakes and then delivering some 1990s hobby mom level cakes? 😂😂😂
They didn’t want her business it’s very obvious
I agree.
They wanted her money they just didn’t care about her or her wedding.
@@Black0bsidian to me when you want someone’s business you want their money in exchange for providing them quality products or services along with customer service and that is not what they delivered
Exactly !
The defendants don’t even care. They have smirky faces!
I think I would’ve sent someone to the nearest supermarket to get a few store bought cakes so that the guests at least could have had something to eat.
Good idea! And added it to the refund request or law suit expense .
They were too interested in suing to think on their feet
Sheet cake from kroger is excellent.
@@Catloudanor it could’ve been too late in the evening and they wanted to party.
Easier said than done when it's not you
I was laughing so hard at judge Milan facial expression when she was looking 👀 at the pictures of the cake.
Don’t buy Estrada cakes!
Wow that cake was trash, they shouldn’t be making cake. They should be embarrassed of themselves
I make wedding and custom cakes and that baker should be embarrassed. That is so horrific. No way appropriate for any wedding. Sloppy, scroll work is wobbly ..horrible
Well said!
That looks horrendous, how can they provide that as a wedding cake

They really rolled out the elementary school TV for this case lol
They COMPLETELY under served this plaintiff and they KNEW it before they did it
They (Plaintiffs) could have went to their local grocery store and would have gotten a better cake...smh
im happy that the plaintiff showed a clip of her addressing the misfortune. It showed how she conducted herself even tho she had a setback and it exposes the bridezilla lies
The defendent and those people on the streets are clowns!!!
As a home cake decorator myself, this awful. The cake is sooo important. They should have just let the plaintiff know they weren't able to do the job and they should have given her money back.
The defendants are full of ish Period…The way they’re standing there with their nonchalant attitudes and smirking about this horrible situation doesn’t say “Afraid” to me. They tried to justify these horrible cakes by saying her friends and family were aggressive and that they threatened them. ..Our money is green just like everyone else’s and we deserve the same type of fair treatment and quality work that we paid for and nothing less. He needs to be thanking his lucky stars someone at that wedding didn’t lay hands on him😂.
The unison of head turns in the audience when the defendants said they offered her $100 for a refund 😂😂
Defendants told on themselves at the end. First they didn't own a freezer and then it became "if the cake was delivered two hours late, it should've been defrosted by then." Jerks.
I'm no baker but if a cake has been overcooked that long that it's difficult to cut, that's a sign of either the baker not knowing what they're doing or simply not caring.
Defendant can’t accept their work sucked that day. Jeez!
There's no way a bakery going any sort of volume is not freezing cakes. It's not feasible to bake on demand
Her wedding dress is beautiful 😍
The makeup artist put way too much rouge on the judge’s cheeks.
The make up artist always over do it. I say the judges always have on too much foundation.
Does anyone else thing Harvey's street interviews are UNBEARABLE??!
He'll ask a question, get a response, change the verbiage of the question to make them sound dumb, move on to the next and repeat.
Yup. Can't stand Harvey Levin. With his track record he's lucky to have never been canceled.
I like Harvey ok. And sometimes he's really good with the crowd. He can be funny. Also, you have to remember he's on a serious time crunch and sometimes has to do what he has to do to get a fast answer.
He ruined the show tbh. His street critiques were never needed. I don't know whose decision it was to even put him on the show. I scroll through his nonsense.
I skip it every video
@@Daysgobye52 I do like his legal summaries at the end of the cases but the street interviews are awful. He can never just accept someone's answer.
They didn't make the cake in those photos. Probably made fake reviews for themselves!!!!
They pretended to be professional bakers. Wow!
You said it, “he ruined a big part of her wedding” and clearly the defendant’s a hard head.
These people shouldn't be in the cake business, they don't know what they're doing. At all.
Beautiful bride. Disappointing experience.
Wow, I did not expect that cake to be that bad! There's zero excuse for them not just giving the money back! He's full of lies. She asks about the flower petals, and his first answer is just I didn't do that, then it's blaming the other people who are telling him to put something on it. She asks about the smear and he says at first it was just under the ribbon, then he admits that his fingers smeared the cake! He scraped off the entire icing on a side!? And I'm sorry but that cake stand absolutely looks like a $2 wire piece of crap! What place would not bring their own portfolio to court when they're being sued for doing a poor job!? How could he defend this? And to literally lie about the sheet cake that he brought an hour and a half later. Ugh, anyone so clearly comfortable with lying and blaming other people for their poor job, needs to get as far from bridal cakes as possible.
Ugly cake! That poor Bride 😢
Even at the end they will not take accountability, after losing this case..Wow !!
Defendant is a clown, i wonder if he's still in business
No apology from the defendant and if you Question the Defendant, you're a BrideZilla times 5.
The design the plaintiff picked was unsightly anyway. The defendant should have suggested a cake design that they routinely do or told her they couldn't do it, so go somewhere else.
Her dress is Stunning ❤
The fact she didn’t serve the cake tells me she wasn’t looking for a payday!
They have no shame
What a joke this cake couple is! I’d be SOOOOO embarrassed if I were them and I thank God I’m not!!!
That defendant is a jerk.
The defendant lied about fixing the cake. That's called perjury.
The lady next to Joe looks guilty.
She knows that they screwed up and she looks like the 🐈 who ate the 🐭. 😂😂
Im a baker this cake is 💩 how could he even think thats wedding worthy. They woman deserves so much more then she’s asking for
love getting to watch these older episodes i've never seen 🥰
Me too 😊
I already know who where the pants in that marriage lol
I spotted this too 😂😂😂😂
Cake looked homely, not homemade, lol
Defendants are DISGUSTING. we need a “where are they now”
He knew that his bakery messed up her cake. He should've mentioned to give her a full refund at that time and not just some money. Smh🙄
That was one ugly cake! Can’t believe the “cake decorators” couldn’t see that. Apparently it must’ve been an apprentice decorator that did the cake.
All those cakes looked horrible. I wouldn’t have went there from the get go. 😅
The male defendant is way too sensitive and defensive to be a customer facing caterer. Just do the accounting and bookings.🤗 I’ve been in customer service for 25 years, Rule no.1, don’t get in your feelings😂😂😂
Just return the money and move on lol
@@MrsRobinson9468 Some businesses don’t understand the value of customer service sometimes It is better to just issue a customer a full refund and never deal with them again even if you don’t agree they should be refunded than to end up with bad reviews and in litigation
The defendant shouldn't be making wedding cakes if he can't deliver in accordance to contract. JM should have awarded the plaintiff $1K (500 for the cake and 500 for the experience)
They played in that lady's face! that cake looked a MESS and I'm glad she got some of her monies back because whew❤
Oooooh those defendants are bold faced liars
The judge's make up artist should be fired.
The defendant is a lying creep !!
Horrible defendants. Presented that terrible cake and thought they’d get away with it. No accountability whatsoever.
And judge Milan , you know damn well that you can’t get a new pretty cake for $50, that was a joke
I would be ashamed to come on national TV and display this crappy work. I would say he went back and made the other cakes. I would have went to the local grocery store and bought cake really fast.
I wouldn't even want to eat that cake if I see that at someone else's wedding.
Even the Catering MGR said the cake was horrid and unservable
I'll admit, I started off thinking maybe the bride's family tried to "improve" the cake and messed it up, then blamed the baker. But then she brought that statement from the hotel. And the video showed the plaintiff keeping her cool while telling the guests and not making dramatic scene about it. Good for her!
He even sound like he lying and be scamming people 😂 now JOE why you did that lady cake like that
The plaintiff could not have been more prepared for this case run her her money!!
The defendant should have to not only return her money but compensate her for ruining her day
The defendant's incompetence is as obvious as the Judge's over-applied blush 😂
That cake was hideous. She deserves much more than she asked for having her wedding day ruined!
"if it was two hours late, it shouldn't have still been frozen" uh... 🙄
My fingers got stuck under the tier???? And you wanted them to serve it?!?!
Even the pictures of the supposedly good cakes were not that good ! They did not seem to care at all that they ruined that poor lady's cake and wedding.
Doug would’ve ate that man UP in the post court interview. This man let him off WAY too easy 🙄😂
No he did not call her bridezilla after they gave her that ugly non-edible cake!
They could care less.
Couldn’t*
The fact that the were smirking like that when they came out to the stand told me everything I needed to know.
Accept accountability for your lousey service. They refuse to admit their cakes were horrible. Bye, Felicia, and the verdict was very good
She was beautiful on her wedding 😍
She was. But I think the same lady that did Jm’s makeup this episode did the bride’s makeup on her wedding day too 😂😂😂
I’m very familiar with the town where this guy works. His shop is no longer in business. He has rebranded himself as Joe the Cheesecake Guy, and he make cheesecakes for a wine bar/paint place/pizza place in town. Kind of curious to go check it out and see if his skills have improved over the years.
Thank you for the facts.
I loled so hard with that ugly cake. I can’t believe the defendants were willing to go on tv and let the world see how horribly they screwed up.
A bakery without a freezerrr is like a cook without a pot 🥘 most bakeries don't even i 💯% from scratch anymore and they freeze them cakes 🎂 pull them out a few hours before they cover with semi-homemade frosting or that nasty play-doh they call "fondant" 😂😂😂 Sad part is, the cakes crumble and lose moisture when they haven't been properly wrapped before storing or freezing.
Even when it's over they're not accepting any responsibility. Airing a business's problem in a public format is never good. If I got married tomorrow somebody be in the kitchen with 10 boxes of cake mix for 30 bucks.
