Plus, a large eye resembling Dark Matter’s can be seen in his mouth in this form, so we know he has at least some connection to the Dark Matter Clan.

He was just trying to make friends, not realizing that he was hurting people by infecting them with Dark Matter. Just a lonely parent of children that had no thoughts or feelings themselves. They were but mindless drones... they were not his friends. And Kirby attacked him... because he had to, to save everyone. He ended up killing Zero. And because Zero was not truly evil, he was allowed entry to Heaven... but Zero couldn't understand why he was attacked for trying to make friends. Resentment filled him. Resentment towards Kirby's happiness and his friends. He was cast from Heaven for his defiance of God. But he would not let it be in vain. He continued his creation of Dark Matter, he used them again to possess people, but this time with the intention to harm, for if he could not feel happiness... then no one else ever could!
It seems to me as Zero Two is trying to tell Kirby to release himself from the pain that he caused, or another alternative explanation is that Zero Two wants Planet Popstar eradicated, once and for all, through his powers.
