Kirby - All Zero Two Themes

- Zero Two also written as 0² or 02 is often considered the ultimate Dark Matter leader in the classic era of Kirby games. One of the more popular final bosses in terms of design, battle and theme. Plotwise, after collecting all of the Crystal Shards, the assembled Crystal will reveal the remaining Dark Matter cloud who took over Ripple Star's queen. This cloud will form the Dark Star which Kirby and friends will quickly head over to in order to clear its threat once and for all. Dark Matter trilogy is ending with a final battle of Kirby & Ribbon against Zero Two in the center of Dark Star. Its theme got several arrangements ranging from energetic electric guitars to jazz and epic orchestra. Enjoy!

The 25th anniversary orchestra version gives me chills every time.
When I hear the Kirby cafè remix I allways Imagine 02 drinking tea with Dark matter swordsman and Gooey while it's raining outside the cafè.
Wait a sec...how does he drink? I know he can make a face similar to gooey, but the mouth is his eye. So....
Also, I'm definitely going to draw 0² drinking tea

The original really feels like the most 'final' out of all the final boss themes, as if it's chronologically the very last boss Kirby ever fought, and the truest of evils. Even more than Void, even if Void is canonically fought after 0² (because Adeleine/Ribbon appear as dream friends).
@Wilt&Blush The drums in the back pitter patter in ways heard similarly in war drum beats. The chorus hums melancholically in a way that gives the feeling of hope during a crisis. The electric synth noises in the background sound similar to themes of other dark matter boss fights. The whole fight has an underlying air of triumphing over evil, to deny that is doing a great disservice to its’ composers.
This is such a brilliant way to put it, O2 really feels like the evilest and darkest of all the final bosses, and the theme really has an emphasis on that and it being the ultimate fight.
How Zero Two evil? It want to destroy Ripple Star Crystal that emit light which the only thing that can harm Zero Two. Among any Dark Matter entity including Void, Zero Two is the peak of evolution. According to lore Ripple Star Crystal is the only thing that can harm Zero Two and it come to Ripple Star to destroy it so no one can harm Zero Two anymore, not even Kirby. Once Zero Two able to destroy Ripple Star Crystal, nothing can stop it from turning the world into Dark Star
It didn't desire to invade or destroy the world like any other antagonist such as Marx or Void Termina, it just want to corrupt the world. Endless darkness and suffering where you will lose your sanity

Probably my favorite version of any Dark Matter. I don't know for sure but I want to say 02 was my first REAL Kirby final boss that I fought (first Kirby game I played goes to Air Ride) and it was just so fun and genuinely cool as a fight. Even though I knew nothing about the lore, to this day this theme still goes harder than a double rock copy ability
This one was the Best boss battle for me when I finally could finish Crystal shards by 100%
They should really do a remaster of the Dark Matter trilogy

These ones dont really count but Sectonia's first phase theme has a section that sounds like Zero Two and Star Dream's second phase almost sounds like a full remix without the main memory.
Fun fact, concept art of star dream shows he was supposed to look like a machanical zero2

Tbf Bandana Waddle Dee would have a way better chance of making it into smash as a fighter.
Sakurai may not do dark matter since he didn’t work on the Dark matter trilogy, and he’s a little biased towards the Kirby games he made (dreamland1, adventure, super star, air ride, and a few others I probably forgot)
But I would love dark matter as a character
Bandanna Dee, Magolor and Dark Matter as Newcomers in a Smash 6 would be very clean.

The smash bros version is my personal favorite. It just hits so much harder than the original.
The original zero two theme is still better than all of these remixes.
Becease that one shows the tragic story of what it is to be like zero.
Born with only negative emotions in a universe where happiness is all around you. And you are the one being who despite being jealous of everyone for being able to feel it while you can't and had to live knowing that fact, sufferd every single day of your existence in lonelyness and pain becease of that simple fact for being born diffrent.
And so... you in your endless suffering and jealousy state decided, why not make everyone the same as myself then nobody will have to be any diffrent, and it will be fair for everyone since then nobody is diffrent.
But...ultimately deep with in zero, he yearned all that time, to try and find a way to understand and feel what it is to be happy.
Maybe one day that he comes back... someone can help him in showing him what it is all about.
So that he can finally after all that yearning, become finaly what you always wanted/ where meant to become. That person/being who can finally now live it's happy life amongs others as equals!

Brawl one gets alot of hate, but I do like it. It fits a more energetic fighting style.
Would of loved if it got another Smash remix but as usual, Star Allies had to pick up the slack.

I kinda hate the brawl version. It doesn't feel I guess, as serious or depressing as the original. Then again, this is how every song in this game is remixed.

Idk if this is controversial but I think the Brawl version sucks. The orchestral version is probably my favorite version.
It sound nice to me, but those shouts in the background ruin it for me.
