I watched the 1st video & part of the 2nd. I don’t think this is for the kids. This is for the guy building it. He’s jus using kids as an excuse to build it. I’m waiting for the kegerator & bbq install
I really enjoyed it.Super. I have tree house also. But not like this.it's hotel.I need to make more. But I need carpenter like u.Let me know. U done great job.
A little unconventional building, but it looks solid as a rock, i would only worry about the tree sway with it being bolted directly to the tree if the other end is non moving but nice job. Very creative how you joined many of it with your cuts i was impressed.
Great house, thank you for sharing the video. It is now 2018 - could you let us know how the house coped with the tree growth? This is my concern, as I plan to build such construction on two middle size birches, which is a pretty fast growing tree species. Your construction is very tightly attached, so I wonder if the tree growth has done any damage to the treehouse so far?
MM tryngites I've built them for years for ppl and when I was young for myself although I did it a little different the only thing that the tree will do is push the wood to an extent then start growing around the wood plus if you use more than one tree you have to be careful because the wind will rock the trees and can brake the nails bolts screws whatever lol
Thanks for the comments. I'll have to post a new video but the tree & tree house are holding up fine. The tree has grown some but mostly around the structure.
Hey, watched every single part. I’m interested in building a similar one myself, how long did it take you and how long would you estimate it takes if you work around 2 hours a day? Response would be appreciated:)
I've seen the trunks and branches weather sealed using a skirt of epdm siliconed around the trunk and just overlaying the roof by about 8". Also allows for growth and movement. Nice work. It'll be good to see how it all holds up. I bet the kids love it. ☺️👍🏻
I built one a while back for a friend who was wanting one for his sons bday. After all costs it was a little over 1100 bucks. Around the same if you was building a storage shed. Truthfully though, the amount of work it takes is phenomenal
I am finishing one. the house has deck which surrounds the tree yes but the house is extended over open ground...that way the roof can be shingled. No one said the house has to encircle the trees. plus the bark will not be damaged much. we do want the tree to live
Patrick Potocnik yep, and the screws should be in the rises not the troughs, as water will seep through, not a massive issue but will shorten the lifespan of the build
SteamBackInTime the screws are supposed to go in the valleys so that they have a stronger point of attachment and don’t end up cracking the ridges. The screws that should be used in this situation will have a small washer with a rubber gasket to keep the holes water tight.
@@travispuls3258 actually they are supposed to go on the ridges with spacers underneath to support the fixings, but they're expensive. It is after all just a bit of fun for his kids. Also, when you do stuff yourself, sometimes it's fine to try stuff because you know you can learn and improve at a later date with just a bit of rework materials.
I loved it. It's the one of the most beautiful tree house.
Well done
Great job! Thanks for sharing
Awesome man!! Thanks for the video.
Awesome playlist
Awsome job bro great job well done Bert here
Great job on that project! Happy New Year brother!
Good video watched it to the end
Thanks Cabrera! It was a fun project. I'll put up a "how's it holding up video" soon
I really love your video, u gave me an idea 😉😉😉
Good... glad it helped!
I can't tell if he's drunk or just talks that way. Keep it up brother. Alot of people won't even put the effort in for their kids. God bless.
LMAO! You literally made me laugh out loud. Thanks soooo much for the comment.
Full disclosure: I did have the occasional beer while working.

Also needs a firemen pole (stripper pole) & that spy glass needs to be replaced with binoculars for checking out milf next door

Thanks Chris! It has been solid and still holding up.
cool
Total of 8 bolts attaching beams to tree? I suppose that combined with the 4x4 for entrance ladder is supporting everything ok. Cool project!
Yes. 8 screws and the 2 4x4's

How much did this whole project cost from start to finish?
Hey, watched every single part. I’m interested in building a similar one myself, how long did it take you and how long would you estimate it takes if you work around 2 hours a day? Response would be appreciated:)
Hello, thanks for watching! I worked mostly weekends & some evenings. All together about 4-5 months. A little at a time.
GOOD WORK. RESPECTFULLY, FOR THE RAIN LEAK RUNING DOWN THE TRUNK...USE EXPANDING FOAM. TRATALO.
Thanks Ramon. We didn't expect to stop me run from entering the structure but that is a great idea.

Good advice 👍👍👍👍👍
How do you stop birds from going in there and shitting all over the place? And how well does this thing last throughout the winter? Any frost damage?
Sam 94 you sound like a jackass
Thanks for the comments, Birds haven't been a problem. Wasp have occasionally started little nests but we clean it out once in a while.
Sam 94 you call that a legitimate question ? Use common sense and read a book idiot.

The audio kept in & out of this video too!
Anyone else having trouble with the volume on these videos guys? Don't know if it's just me and my setup or there's tbf guys?
What was your cost for the build?

Truthfully though, the amount of work it takes is phenomenal
Thanks for the comments guys! The total cost was about $700
Soup Sandwhich.
add to this and show how roof joins the....tree
that's the interesting part...not mini studs etc
I am finishing one. the house has deck which surrounds the tree yes but the house is extended over open ground...that way the roof can be shingled. No one said the house has to encircle the trees. plus the bark will not be damaged much. we do want the tree to live
@@nkel6111 Thanks for the comment. I'll work on an update video soon. I'll try to include the joints. I'd like to see your build too! Thanks!
a dry roof is velly important
The roof is wrong... you have to turn it 90 degres
Patrick Potocnik yep, and the screws should be in the rises not the troughs, as water will seep through, not a massive issue but will shorten the lifespan of the build

Don't think the kids will care lol
Thanks for the comment Patrick. The original plan was to make it vertical. But the joist wouldn't hold it up well enough, send we went horizontal.
