      Pretty much like giving you a prosthetic arm that actually attaches to the body with pins rods and sockets yes the whole process will cause some Shock to the body and it might take a little to get used to the weight but it can work although it is unnatural

    I love the Treehouse Masters, they make super unique treehouses, but on top of that, they really are in tune with what nature is doing, taking care to keep the footprint of the structure to a minimum so it blends in with the trees they use. And of course it also blends so well with the tiny house idea, so this was a great video to watch!

      The man could have made the shower area more functional by considering a toilet and a facility of shower with or without the roof. That would make this place more habitable year round. I would equally expect the birds keen on shitting around if they find the back space habitable ... The interiors are splendid but you are right: so much money for so less facilities. And I didn't like the trees expected to bear the load. Hmmm ...

      @Steven The Plug In Europe 150k USD for a house is very expensive. You can have a fully insulated 100m house with floor heating for less. Here you're getting a much smaller wooden cabin with an outdoor shower and a bedroom that you have to climb into. Have fun in winter ;)

    • @roypatterson9910
      @roypatterson9910 5 років тому +22

      @@smieszek8080 yeah, but you have to remember that there's a lot of steel that's being used to build this tree house, which steel is more expensive than wood, not only that, it's also stronger than wood, so you have to take this into consideration. Another thing, it's built out of mostly cedar, which is more expensive than just regular wood, which cedar will last forever.

      @Kellogg's I don't think you know what pain is in terms of what it is for. Pain is a warning response to let you know something is dangerous, and to stop or get away. It would make 0 sense for a tree to have pain receptors, as it can't do anything with that information. It's rooted in place, and has no means of locomotion.
      About 1 percent of a tree is actually alive. The inner bark, the leaves, and the roots. The rest of the tree is pretty much dead. That's why you see trees with massive hollows in them that provide nesting for other animals still growing.

      I'm only an engineer through the week, but given the weight of this house and how it's attached, you could easily brace it for removal and install elsewhere. The I-beams would be re-attached to new trees, adjusted where needed and the building placed again on the I beams. You'd see disease coming with enough warning and the move would cost about $8K, more for professionals and less to DIY with equipment rental.

      I know someone who has only an outdoor shower in northern Ontario. They have a portable shower that pumps up the water from a barrel and heats it. It's still enough of a hassle they don't shower every day though. You would probably choose a sponge bath or wet towel most days and a full shower less often.

    I absolutely LOVE your channel!! I've been binge watching it for days on end. it's really got me wanting to live in a tiny house or a bus conversion. my boyfriend's dad has a school bus and he's semi turned it into an RV. I was skeptical about living in it, but when I see all that can be done with it, it really opened my mind and I've been thinking about it more and more! I have a friend who is an electrician and he said that when we wanna convert the bus, that he'll do all the electrical for free!! Keep up the amazing work! Definitely one of my favorite channels!!

      150k to build a playhouse that nobody lives in because it doesn't have a toilet and this rich kids parents don't want some random stranger shitting in any of the 11 bathrooms in the conveniently _out of shot_ mansion. This whole Tiny House movement has been hijacked by a bunch of nouveau riche, entitled brats who think that building toy houses for nobody and renting them out on airbnb is a valid life achievement.

    I love Treehouse Masters!!🌄🌲🌳 Most of the treehouses I see Pete and his team build on the show, are in people's backyards or properties, and aren't usually meant to be a main home. More of a fun extra space for established adults who always wanted a treehouse as a kid, or retreat for parents, or space for the grandkids or whatnot. But absolutely a treehouse COULD become a full-functioning tiny home with a bathroom and bigger kitchen, and whatever else you'd need, and with the tiny house movement becoming bigger and bigger, Pete and his team will probably get more calls to build them. The thing about Pete Nelson's builds that i notice the most on his show, is the absolutely insanely amazing attention to detail in the craftsmanship. It's so impressive the perfect curves joinery of the finished project, as many treehouses aren't in a typical tiny house box pattern that seems much easier to work with, and the many whimsical extras that go into each treehouse inside and out that make each of his builds completely unique and different, and perfectly tailored to the client's dream treehouse. Definitely check it out on Animal Planet if you've got it. :)

    I've seen trees that big and sturdy get uprooted and topple over. Part of the "engineering" aspect must include picking the right trees in the right land, understanding the local weather and possibilities for soil erosion, and part of living in a treehouse must include caring for the health of the trees. I'm sure it's no small feat to create a treehouse that's really going to last.
