It makes me angry when pitchers hit the batter. There isn't any excuse for that. The catcher has his glove in position for the pitcher to hit, and if the pitcher can't hit the right target, then he shouldn't be pitching.
That’s as dumb as saying “players shouldn’t get hit by the puck, if they can’t hit the little opening in the net, they shouldn’t be playing”. It’s incredibly difficult to pitch at that level, sometimes the ball gets away on you. Same as sometimes your shot isn’t directly on the net. It happens!

I’ve never understood the colliding, especially in the out-field. If someone else is going for the ball, you don’t also need to go for the ball.
