When I ran my first marathon in '98 this was a song on my running playlist. It played while we ran under McCormick's Place in Chicago at about mile marker 23. I was struggling with 10 minute splits coming in. I too cried and couldn't believe when I downloaded my splits I ran at a 7:30 pace for that mile. Since seeing Chariots of Fire in the 80s , I've heard this theme music many times & it still brings tears to my eyes.
When I ran my first marathon in '98 this was a song on my running playlist. It played while we ran under McCormick's Place in Chicago at about mile marker 23. I was struggling with 10 minute splits coming in. I too cried and couldn't believe when I downloaded my splits I ran at a 7:30 pace for that mile. That song allowed me to come in under my goal of four hours.
