    - Can I change my situation/influence what happened?
YES - take action NO - leave it be
Being stuck in between is what causes suffering.

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day-in and day-out. I realised several years ago that taking consistent action is one of the keys to success. I've been putting this into action with my study and meditation music UA-cam channel and I'm gradually beginning to see some success.

it's also true that the stoics saw whatever happened including misfortunes as the unfolding of divine logos. and as part of that they perceived whatever happened as part of a providential plan. everything that Ryan talked about however is excellent practical advice and I would be fortunate to implement any of his advice whenever I deal with painful experiences.

    1. Consider how you're defining good or bad, swap perspectives to see the situation from different angles. A positive thought is dropped quicker than a negative thought by the brain, so you have to be active in positive interpretations and doing so will allow for quick removal of the thought from awareness.
    2. Consider what you can do about the reality. What is in your control?
    3. Consider what you can learn from the experience.

Every problem can be solved in three ways. You can accept it,you can change it or you can leave it.If you can't accept it change it.If you can't change it leave it.

When you a picture of Jesus with an image of opened heart on his chest, it means we must accept everything without judgment. The heart doesn't judge, but only the mind makes judgement that's why it is advised to use your heart more when dealing with unpleasant or painful situation than your mind.
