There is a dialogue referencing a broken mirror. I forgot the dialogue but I remember the impression it left.
I don't remember if it was, "the truth is like a broken mirror" or if it was, "the past is a broken mirror"
It was something like. As you piece it together, you cut yourself, the image keeps shifting. But once you piece it together, it'll set you free ... Or something.. darn the dialogues were strong back then.

It's more addicting than the coke that fool, Marcello, had been snorting in a line that lead straight to a pile of tires, beckoning him to hop inside. In a better light of common sense I guess it's metaphorical non-sense from some angry gringo with a sense for poetic justice done wrong. But that's not the first thing I've done so horribly wrong, so I've already dug myself a bigger hole than the one in my second favorite drinking arm, that I couldn't crawl out of. The man had asked me the question I'd been dreading, the question I'd been asking myself for years.
I thought back to better days, the good old days, where we complained about Max Payne 2. Things just didn't seem the same now. I guess that's just the way things go.
I stared at the comment section in disbelief and began to type my reply. Anyone could tell it was insufficient and dodged the question, but I was hoping that a clever parody of something relevant would stop them calling me out on that.

i completely agree. Amazing game
Personally I thought the first 2 were better. The third one just seemed like your usual upbeat 3rd person shooter game. It wasn't as dark and gloomy as the first two which is why I liked them. Although it was definitely a good game though.

No its actually good, you fucking suck if you think this game is bad, rockstar invested a lot of time and money in it only to become a super underrated game
How is it underrated you donk?
Why is this game so underrated. It has a rich story, great soundtrack, and pretty good gameplay
I'd say the gameplay is where the game excel's creating shootout scenes only matched by Jon Woo. It's really fun jumping through a door and hitting every head in the room before hitting the ground.
Seb Sebster This game was an absolute masterpiece and a worthy sequel. If people didn't like the South American setting I can understand, but that doesn't make it a bad game. Besides the gameplay is holy shit everything one could want from Max Payne.
96Seaturtles True, Max Payne 3 is more like a spiritual successor than a sequel.
***** Actually it's the direct opposite of a spiritual successor. A spiritual successor has the same style and design, but a different story and characters (ex Dark Souls and Demon Souls). Max Payne 2 has the same story, but a different style to it (they traded the Noir setting for an action film setting).
Mark Arandjus They don't really share anything in plot except the antagonist name.

Death is inevitable. Our fear of it makes us play safe, blocks out emotion. It's a losing game. Without passion you are already dead.
One can say "Life is meaningless" What meaning does it hold. Now tell me, what is the meaning of the existence of mountains? you can explain how its created, by the force of two tectonic plates. But what is the reason behind its existence, it has no meaning, the question dose't deserve an answer. When we ask what is the meaning of life, the question is invalid, it dose't deserve an answer.
MASCOT Life holds whatever meaning the observer projects onto it. There is no objective meaning, for if there were, what freedom would we have? No instead we are given the gift of choice. Life means whatever you want it to mean
@@EggEnjoyer Being able to choose is more of a curse than a gift. We human beings make the worst choices.
@@Gyzmoo88 Agreed. My stance on life has changed greatly since that post 3 years ago. Nihilism is no longer my guiding philosophy. I think humans are indebted to each other. We owe each other some level of decency and goodness. And pretty much all negative outside of acts of god are caused by human failure and malice. Our world is mix more grim because so many of us fail to make the right choice on a daily basis. And the ability to choose is the plight of mankind. Everyday we struggle to be better and we hope that our christen do no repeat the same mistakes.
