That’s quite a compliment for which I thank you. I’ve watched quite a few fishing videos and some are very good but I think my approach is different to many, a sort of ‘see it as it happens’ approach, warts and all. I try to relate to the average angler.
Thank you for the comment, much appreciated. It certainly is a nice place and although it's got a lot busier in recent years, I keep going back. You never quite know what the next bite is going to produce.
I prefer the Pit as it is a mature lake with good margins, and I do like margin fishing. The Pool is by comparison a bit featureless. It is also, from what I've heard, a bit over-stocked. Great if you want to catch continuously, whereas in the Pit you generally have to work a bit harder and there is much less certainty as to what is going to turn up. It all comes down to personal preferences.
Thanks Steve. It’s always a challenge to edit hours of video and I often leave out bits that I would rather include, especially chatty bits that don’t include fish.
I watch your videos because you fish natural waters and show fishing as it really should be. I don't like watching people fishing muddy over stocked ponds in the middle of fields were you are bound to catch because are so hungry. That's not fishing to me. Keep up the good work
I agree with your sentiments entirely. The problem is finding 'natural' waters. There are a large number of lakes in this area but many of the more established (and more natural) ones are syndicated for carp, with ridiculous membership fees and strict carp-based rules. The publicly accessible lakes tend to be more recently established commercials that in many cases aren't that appealing. This is why a few years ago I decided to concentrate on river fishing during the open season.
Best fishing video I have found on UA-cam for a long time.. keep up the good work

What a cracking day.its given me the thoughts about getting on the bank. Cheers Bob, great video.
Pleased you enjoyed it and that it’s inspired you to get out on the bank.
I've been there a few times at the pit, have you fished the pool?

No need for apology, Bob. An hour will do me every time
