I use this pedal in many ways. Tip stack the same pedal infront as boost if you want the same sound but higher gain. I love this one. Metal players boost their highgain amps with this pedal i have seen. Some like the TS others the SD1 yet others like this one bluesbreaker style. This is a great choice giving your front end a real kaboooom. Love it into my Engl and Laney. My CUB head M1 sounds like a modded JMP or 800 with this little pedal. Good shit, Nux
Been hearing a lot about this company so I just grabbed a Morning Star a 65 and a Hook. Gotta say so far I'm impressed. Makes me feel kinda silly I have about 30 seriously overpriced pedals that aren't being used
Awesome playing as usual Mike :) this overdrive sounds really cool to me, very bluesy and transparent! I like it even more than its “brother” Tube Man (which is pretty good), that is more tube screamer style!
Matt Gilbert cool pedalboard :) i would like the morning star to boost another overdrive (crazy tube circuits stardust...try it if you can! Killer sound!) or to play as preamp in the edge of breakup (my amp is fully clean) after the stardust! However the sound/cost ratio of this pedal is incredible!
Matt Gilbert actually i don’t think i’ll buy other expensive pedals...i just have fun with music, i’m not a pro😂 moreover to me these pedals (like nux, mooer, valeton) sound amazing and very close to the pedals they replicate!! I think that morning star & monterey will be in my rig...very soon😁
Wow, that *really* does have a supreme bluesy tone! (later) Not available yet. Please make another video when it is, to remind us to buy it, if you're so inclined.
How do you switch it so you can have the buffered bypass because it's too noisy when I switch it on and off for the true bypass. Those loud popping sounds are annoying unless I got a lemon.
Think I got a dodgy one mine cuts out when the drive is below halfway and it sound a bit phazerish when I strum hard. Shame cus it does sound good at times
Where are you? I bought mine off Facebook Marketplace (in Thailand). I think Amazon carries it, as well as Lazada in Asia. Or you can contact the company and ask about your area (nuxefx.com)
The pedal is very good though too compressed for my taste and lacks a lower bass bump frequencies for shrilly single coils. Great little pedal and build quality but no space for it on my PB. I prefer the Noble ODR-1 MINI.
Anyone watching this - the Kokko Supa Drive is the same pedal but way cheaper. The Shine mode on the NUX is identical to the Kokko. I've had them side by side. You obviously don't get the normal mode, just shine, but rolling off the tone sorts it out. Save some pennies. It's like 1/3rd of the price!
from zero to noon it's super clean. it's only when you crank the drive all the way that you get overdrive, and it is by no means thick .and my guitar has a very high output distortion humbucker for metal !
love the colour, the sound, the guitar, the music and the player
that pedal is smokin'!

Fantastic demo! Kudos Mike! Fantastic little pedal - it even sounds good when turned off!!!

You can make dropping pots and pans on the floor sound great.
Amazing review. Amazing pedal. I have it on 99% of the time.

Montery>Tube Man>Morning Star>Mod Core>Time Force = best sounding cheap all-NUX pedalboard.

@@lucabetti3659 I put the Morningstar in front of a Crowther Hotcake and a Proco RAT. Both tones were fab. Good boost, just the right EQ
@@lucabetti3659 I'll look into that CTC Stardust, thanks

Is it correct that the pedal is not yet available? If so, such a tease. It sounds great.

Sounds good in this demo, small, should be cheap... but where can I get one?
Superb playing as always, Mike. Still waiting for an album, you know.

@@miblish5168 Thank you. It's easy to find it now on Amazon, but It wasn't there back when I wrote the comment.
You are supposed to play morning star by Vinnie moore

Alot of nux videos today
Bom dia amigo esse SHINE cortas as pontas de agudos ?
Cara, o Mike Hermans não responde perguntas e ele nem fala português. Mas eu posso te responder, é o contrário, a função Shine reforça os agudos.
Wow! Your sound is amazing. The pedal is only part of it so, what the rest of the signal chain? (amp, mic...amp sim?? Doubt it....)

This pedal almost sound the same like Mooer Blues Crab or Marshall Bluesbreaker
It's a Bluesbreaker-type yes, like the Crab.
Hi friend, the question is: It is better than Mooer bluescrab? (I have the Mooer but I feel it rob me sound and quality signal a little bit)
@@johannmunoz_gtr I would think so, I heard all these Nux pedals are great. This pedal also has the shine circuit so it has more tone options.
@@johannmunoz_gtr Dude what the heck I just found ur comment lol
@@Julianjahbless hahaha CORONAVIRUS times, everything is possible!
Is this a Timmy clone?
Its based in Marshall Bluesbreaker, but probably voiced to sound similar to JHS "Morning Glory", which is also a Bluesbreaker clone.
Not really over drive more a blues drive still nice tho
Choosing to buy or promote any product of China, is about as UnAmerican as it gets.
Exaclty! Now go spend $200 on a JHS glorning mory and screw anything made anywhere but umurica
Have you checked to see where your TV/Stereo/Coffee Maker/Blender/Power Tools/Lighting Fixtures/Cell Phone, Roku, etc.....were made?
