When the chief on the only line deployed does more than everyone on scene
The chief makes more money than anyone else, so yeah, he should do more work than anyone else.
The chief shouldent be doing ANY work
Good job filming mike. Your closeups of the firefighters were great. Most people need a tripod they are shaking so much. And they film mostly the flames whitch is like watching paint dry. You had great up-close transitions. I ducted when the guy pulled the ladder off the truck I felt I was that close. The fire fighters are the story content and the fire is just the reason why. Keep up the good work. Retired Firefighter, James

Just a FYI , if you cut into that garage door about a blades length a foot away or even closer to that handle the door will go right up . All you have to do is cut that cross bar that locks both sides of the door . Normally one cut will release the lock and it will roll up
Well these are a bunch of Dylan's and Caden's so they wouldn't fuckin know that. I bet they can unlock any door in minecraft though.
I agree, but where was the show? They don't have to parade with all the equipment as if it's the 4th of July and not a fire
@@iuliandragomir1 LOL your right, I could put out that fire by myself faster than all these guys together.
"We need a hydrant ..." Well, yes you do, and you should know in advance where they are.
It is LITERALLY impossible to reach this house via public streets without passing a hydrant. The farthest one is under 600' away from the front door, but the incident commander(s) don't know this. How is this possible?
Yes you do need a firehidren

This fire dept is slow in putting a fire out?
no its just the fire has nothing left to burn
A Brick House can be leveled in a matter of seconds, when I was in High School a predominantly wealthy Family lived in a brick Ranch, I saw the house the next morning going to School, it was gone, burned to the ground. This was 31 Years Ago.

That's because it just the facade of the house. It's like siding only on the outside

I'm just here to read all the comments from the UA-cam firefighters, telling us what the actual firefighters are doing wrong. Never ceases to amuse me.
Here's what gets me (not necessarily about this specific video, but rather in general) - most of the time, we get one angle, which shows maybe 120 degrees of visibility at best, with NO real visibility into what's going on through the vast majority of the fire ground, coupled with miscellaneous jump cuts which make it impossible to know how the video time corresponds to actual chronological time on scene, we usually know nothing about the specific department's policies, staffing, response times for mutual aid units, etc., etc., etc.
So despite knowing a little bit about maybe 4 or 5 variables out of about 200 that affect the outcomes, the armchair quarterbacks instantly assume they know everything about what's going on, and proceed to pass judgment about what they see.
It's quite ridiculous, frankly.
@@PhillipRhodes Oh, come on, now. Don't you know that a single UA-cam video captures everything? And don't you know that anyone can analyze a fire from that video and reconstruct all variables? The fact, discovered after the fire, that it was probably arson couldn't have anything to do with the progress of the fire, could it? The comment that says they should have gone inside to be more effective in knocking down the fire is surely right -- even though the second floor of this house collapsed and would have killed anyone inside.
All sarcasm aside, the commenters who have actually worked in boots and a helmet may have some excuse for critiquing the firefighters, but even they seem to me too often to lack measure and caution in their comments.
Ha ha it's hilarious. UA-cam experts also have the real estate crisis figured out and all worlds problems. It's so entertaining these UA-cam experts are amazing wealth.of stupidity and cluelessness that will never be found anywhere else on earth. What a privilege we have to see these experts share their meaningless opinions

we had garage by the NYS line on SR 11 where the last fire hydrant on the PA failed to work along with the line on the NY side of the boarder. The Conklin pumper truck had to drive into a field and pump water from the river due to water lines failing and hydrants not being maintained by the water companies.
I passed that Monday weird to see it burnt to the ground.
@@jeffheyman8537 we were talking about that at the borough council meeting and it raised some questions about hydrants in the borough since they do not want the fire company to check them. I definitely have a healthy respect for fire. There times I don't sleep at night from fear of not being able to react.
Not a critique of the firefighters .....because I’ve never done the job. But when it’s this far gone before anyone is on scene, why not just let it burn to the ground? Less use of resources, firefighters don’t risk life and limb making entry, and less crap to throw in a dumpster a few days later? Just curious. Seems a lot of these house fire videos on the Tube are total losses before anyone gets there.
I genuinely do not understand why the commenters are hating on these FFs. the ONLY thing that was actually THAT bad was the response time. They were a little unorganized but beyond that they did alright. My guess is they are underfunded and don't have the money to train or have a firehouse closer.
No it was bad. Everything about this was just hard to watch. I get it they tried but there is a clear need for someone who understands how to properly fight structure fires teach these guys how to do things. Property can be replaced but if there were a child trapped in that house do you think there would have been a coordinated effort that would have allowed an effective search to take place?
