    That was beautiful man. Also if you're really worried that one day you're just gonna disappear, spend some time meditating, go looking for that person you think is gonna vanish, trust me he ain't even there.

    Honestly, if the new Silent Hill is bad im going to be so sad. Im glad Indie Devs are taking up the mantle tho. At least they have passion in their projects LOL

      If they're bad then I will become a jaded Vegeta type and scream into the rain until I can go super Saiyan and make my own silent Hill game

    Great video and great message. At 31, I’ve been feeling a lot of similar sentiment lately, and you expressed it beautifully. Well done.

    I always hear people say "indies are the future" and "indies are saving gaming." Now I'm starting to believe it.

    Thank you, it’s nice to hear someone be hopeful about gaming this week. You’ve captured a lot of what I’ve been feeling, and why indie games is where our attention should be

    A Signalis mention? We love to fucking see it! Also, as usual, your video was incredible. And as someone who wasn't initially going to check out this game, you inspured me to add it to the top of my list! Thank you for all the work you do!

    im also 32, and i just finished crow country and i want more, it felt short and too easy (except for some puzzles that i googled 5 times what a shame), but it feels like i want to play again in hard mode with a bit of speedrun just to feel the real horror and difficulty of the game

    To add to his point, it's generally how the market works when it comes to the treatment of game developers and poor practices in the Industry. I don't know how many people here would know this, but Activision was founded by developers who worked for Atari. The founders of the company, David Crane, Larry Kaplan, Alan Miller, and Bob Whitehead, had procured games that made for around 60% of Atari's sales. They were unhappy with their salaries and lack of recognition for their work, so they left and started Activation. These men pioneered third-party development and, in a way, created the origin of Indie Game Development. Now, it's somewhat ironic that Activision has essentially become what it didn't want to be when they were first founded.
    The point I'm trying to make here is that the game industry will likely become like the Ouroboros cycle. As developers who get laid off by these large tech companies decide to invest in themselves and create their own games, we will see a huge explosion of quality. Eventually, we will have to acknowledge, though, that at some point when these developers reach retirement age, they will either pass the torch or sell off their company to a larger developer. If they pass the torch, at some point, the company will either be absorbed by a triple-A company or may end up like Activision. Regardless, I will expect high and low periods when it comes to game development and will know when it's time to take a break from the controller for another medium time to time.

    Nice video, I’m intrigued now where I normally might have passed over Crow Country.

    Yknow, i always thought of soulslike as the 3d metroidvania. So it is a bit surprising to hear survival horror described that way. As i am a baby for Survival Horror, but love playing the other two

    While I respect a lot of what you're going for here... RE6 wasn't a COD competitor. It was an escalation of RE4. Basically every mechanic in 6 was in 4 to some extent or another, other than some multiplayer aspects, which were from 5 and Outbreak. The horror game that doomed itself chasing after COD was Aliens: Colonial Marines, as has been verified and reported on.

    • @Sputnik34
      @Sputnik34  5 місяців тому

      Appreciate the comment. RE6 might be a bad example. It might have been better to focus on Dead space 3 instead

      Dunno what to tell you. It's saying that I'll be only specific memories from different people and none of them will be wholly who I was
