Great video! Beau is Afraid is my favorite film of all time. Ari was already my fav director but i’ve never seen myself in a character as much as Beau since Dani from Midsommar.
I haven't seen most of this list so thanks for drawing my attention to some of these. You've definitely piqued my interest re: Charles Swan, but I've definitely run into this kind of thing, a fantastically idiosyncratic movie with a deeply mixed/negative reaction that I end up loving getting dropped by A24 or other distributor. I feel lucky to have stumbled into Under the Silver Lake in the way that I did and lemme tell ya, before it started getting re-exposed recently, keeping this thing within reach was a challenge and finding that Blu-Ray was a journey, but I will cling to it for as long as I am able. Getting my hands on a hard copy of Beau is Afraid has proven to be a repeat venture. Anyways, cool list overall.
So many of these are on my "I should probably watch that at some point" list so seeing them all ranked here is really helpful to prioritize!! Also yayyy problemistaaaa so good!
Cool video! Julio has a new series on Max called Fantasmas that’s totally worth a watch. It’s weirder and more surreal than Problemista, really unique series. Also always happy to see some love for On the Rocks, it’s such an underrated movie in Sofia’s filmography.
Great watch, and I do love Bodies x 3 and Mid90s. But man, Mid90s made me reminisce the 90s. Hell, the opening with the TMNT bed sheets and SNES cartridges. I SLEPT IN THOSE TMNT BED SHEETS!!!!
hey person who made my favorite video on youtube. i will make sure to watch this in the next few days. Incase you watched it i would love to hear what you thought about i saw the tv glow?
I hope you enjoy! do you agree/disagree with any of my rankings? let me know in the comments!
